Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaMinor complaint but the toilet paper is not very nice. Cheap and paper thin.. The bathroom is very nice but too small for a couple... Tiny sink and no where to put your things.
Bed size & very comfortable, size of the suite, lovely shower, bathrobes and a nice little kitchen area with a sink, fridge, wine glasses and wine bottle opener.. much appreciated!

United States of AmericaRider, the hotel restaurant looked great; however, we did not utilize the convenient location or get to try their menu due to their wood fired grill. We were a bit sensitive to the smokey scents so we decided it was best to avoid the area. Not a big deal; the scent did not travel past the main lobby.
Location was great. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and famous Pikes Market and about a 10 min Uber/Lyft to the baseball stadium. All staff we encountered were very helpful - from explaining best parking options for our stay, suggestions for restaurants, providing directions and educating us on the history of the hotel. Room was clean & bed was comfortable. Small fridge in room great for extra bottles of water & snacks. Location of our room (7th Ave facing) was quiet.

United States of AmericaSome minor things in the bedroom (King deluxe)-the full length mirror is awkward to access because it's in the closet and the tiny bathroom's light switches weren't located near the bathroom at all. Also the shower is hard to turn on without getting soaked as you try to adjust the spray and temperature. We ate in the restaurant one night and the salmon was awful, but the pork was tasty even though a little dry. The truffle fries were too soaked with truffle sauce to be palatable. Our waitress never asked how the food was but just took away my daughter's barely touched plate of fish and the soggy fries without comment.
Very beautiful lobby and restaurant; location was great for walking to Pike Place Market and the monorail to the Seattle Center. Comfortable bed.

JapanThe smell of smoke or incense in the lobby is pretty strong, might not be good for people sensitive to smells. Not a problem in the rooms though. The concierge told me that since I was staying multiple nights, housekeeping would be on request which was fine by me, but then housekeeping came every day anyways so that was a little startling, not a real problem just confusing.
Cool vintage vibe, comfortable accommodations, so close to the convention center but much more affordable than the Sheridan or Hyatt. It’s so convenient to have a cafe with coffee and pastries in the lobby, and Starbucks is right across the street.

United States of AmericaThe lobby and floors smell like smoke, not of cigarette but of strong incense. Its kinda nice, but after a while it started burning my eyes and throat. But you cant really smell it in your room.
Beautiful hotel in downtown Seattle. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Each room has a Nespresso machine and the pods are free.

IrelandOne thing I didn't appreciate...at check-in I was told the security deposit is 75 dollars PER night, which is rather expensive. What's even more interesting is that when they requested the pre-autorisation on my credit card the lady at the reception didn't tell me the whole sum they'd retain and neither was the sum displayed on the machine. So basically you're asked to agree to an amount that you don't know. When I asked the amount she got quite defensive and said she wasn't trying to hide it from me, but it was never mentioned until I specifically asked for the total amount. In other hotels they tell you or it's displayed on the machine.
The hotel was very central and close to the train to the airport so that was very convenient. I like that they only clean the room upon request which is great for the environment but also for sleeping in. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.

United States of AmericaI would say that the at times it took a while for the water to get warm in the shower (it does get there though). Also, I think this was specific to my room that there was a noisy conditioning unit. At the same time, it wasn't so bothersome that I made the effort to complain.
Really enjoyed the location of Hotel Theodore. It was within close proximity to most things. I also found the staff warm and friendly and thought their fitness facilities were adequate (has what most people would be looking for). I liked the decor of the property and enjoyed how much natural light that my room had. Would definitely be open to staying at the property again should I find myself in Seattle.

United States of AmericaThe restaurant downstairs has a great atmosphere, but it’s very expensive. Juice and an order of fries cost me $33. The Nespresso machine was hard to figure out, but that could just be me. The paper products used were not soft. Could stand to upgrade those.
The location was great. Many places within walking distance. We spent a lot of time in the lobby. It was very cozy. The room was large and had everything I needed, including full-sized toiletries. Highly recommend Hotel Theodore.

CanadaAs a heritage building, it is physically limited on things like a pool or a hot tub (nice to haves). The bathrooms are clean, tiled and with high-end fixtures, however micro-small. One tiny glass shelf and no place for toiletry kits. Turning-on the shower meant getting sprayed with cold water because of the plumbing compromises the hotel had to make when they changed the original bathtubs for showers. Using the toilet meant sitting slightly cross-wise due to the proximity of the shower enclosure.
A lovely heritage hotel, fully renovated, meticulously clean, and run by super-motivated staff. From a warm welcome to an offered nightly complimentary glass of wine, we felt more like personal houseguests rather than hotel clients. Rooms are solid and quiet, heralding an artisanal level of construction from the hotel's 1920's initial build. Off the main lobby was a beautiful "blue-sky" meeting area, perfect for chats and relaxing. During the morning, the hotel also ran a superb coffee bar that would give any high-end coffee house a serious run. Not a bad accomplishment for the ancestral city home of Starbucks! Location was convenient for everything downtown.
