Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaOne of beds beds had a very thin blanket but heat in room was fine. Breakfast items very low second morning.
Very central location close to shopping, restaurants, buses to everywhere in town and airport. Friendly accommodating staff. Comfortable Italian shower with good water pressure and an extra wall heater in bathroom. Nice TV screen, microwave and fridge in room All in all great place for a reasonably priced clean, safe downtown location. Earplugs provided for those sensitive to train noise but it did not bother us.

United States of AmericaIt was right next to the train bridge so trains were going all night long. So noisy.
I could walk to anywhere downtown. They project cartoons on the side of the building.

United States of AmericaUsually the staff are wonderful - accommodating and friendly. But the last time I stayed there there was a "stranger" at the check-in desk with two lip rings -- very distracting. Big deal, right? However, it seems there is a positive correlation between bad service and facial piercings and facial tattoos. I digress...In particular, the person at the front desk was a " 'no' person". She acted like an inflexible robot. I doubt she will work there much longer....not a good fit. The shower faucets in some of the rooms are on the wrong wall, such that one has to get wet in order to turn the faucet on. This is particularly annoying during winter. Burrr! The beside tables on either side of the king-size beds are very tiny. My stuff usually falls off them. Avoid this issue my getting a room with two double beds. The lighting is too dim. Hey! Whataya expect for a hundred bucks?
This is my "go to" hotel. I can park right outside my door and I can walk to many great restaurants, to the mall, etc. The airport is very close. I live about 100 miles from Spokane. I always stay the night at the Steam Plant hotel the night prior to my departure flight and after my arrival. It is very close to the airport.

United States of AmericaI was visiting on a federal Per Diem. You charged a different rate for the weekend, which didn't show up in the listing. So I ended up eating $20 bucks lodging for Friday night, even thought the BALANCE price per night was below per diem. Why do places do that? We're defenseless against it unless we like call and ask. I can't help it if the govt is too stupid to consider the balance rate. Neither can other travelers. Also, what kind of breakfast was that? I had a milk one morning then just skipped. Can't think of another place, even traveling the US as a kid with stingy parents, when an advertised breakfast offered so little. As a govt worker, probably thousands of nights in hotels and motels all over the world. The worst places to advertise breakfast and then offer next to nothing? They did better. Even in Niger during Ebola when they were giving us food sealed in a plastic wrapper, the bread and cheese with a juice was at least edible and ticked the breakfast box.

CanadaBe aware that the hotel is right beside very busy train tracks;, definitely not for light sleepers. Probably the most lame breakfast offerings I have experienced: not a piece of fruit in sight.
Great front desk. Very welcoming. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Good coffee available in the room. (small Kuerig machine)

New ZealandOn the expensive side for just a bed essentially as room had no view except for the train line and carpark. The trains also made some noise going past at all hours of the night. So beware if you are a light sleeper.
Nice central location in the middle of Spokane with walking distance to everything in the CBD. Great recommendations by the receptionist for eats and drinks nearby. Easy carparking on site right outside the room.

United States of AmericaNumber one, was the breakfast: super, super minimal, like next to nothing. Not complaining to the staff, it was evident, nothing was there in the breakfast room. Yea, coffee, was. …why even advertise a breakfast when nothing is there?? Refrigerator was empty, except for 4 pats of cold butter, 2 peanut butter packets, 3 jelly packets. And, what was present was so unhealthy: pancake machine, 1 blueberry muffin filled with sugar, stale white bagels and no other options, shelves were empty and this was 45 minutes before breakfast closing at 0945. Not even yogurt, an apple, no protein, not even cream cheese. So very disappointing…why bother, when what’s present is enough to kill a customers. After traveling 13 days thru the midwest, this was the worst breakfast witnessed, even though most of these are not edible. The other thing was a lot of random homeless close by , unfortunately! 😥😓
The Boutique hotel was quaint, accommodating, great location, and comfortable but, small rooms. They were redone however, had nice refrigerators, good room coffee, nice tiled bathrooms and comfort bed! And bedding! All adequate, especially for the budget price we experienced…

United States of AmericaThis time, the sheet was too small for the bed, the corners kept slipping off. The seal on the fridge is not reliable, we noticed it, but not a big deal.
This is my second stay here, and I loved it in July, loved it again. The first time we were on the 2nd floor and could barely hear the train. This time I asked for the 3rd floor, bcuz we love the sound of the train:) So: 2nd floor, almost no train noise, 3rd floor, definitely train noise. I feel like mentioning this bcuz of all the reviews that complain about it, so future ppl can consider asking for the lower floors:) We will absolutely be back!!

United States of AmericaThe main downside to the hotel is that it is directly across the street from the railroad tracks, with frequent trains running throughout the night. It hindered our sleep and caused us to wake quite often. The furniture was a little shabby but very clean and tidy.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean. The bathroom had a very nice shower. The location downtown was great, and it was easy to walk to stores and restaurants. The beds were a little bouncy but comfortable. We also liked the safe, inexpensive parking garage on site that is locked after midnight and is attended.

United KingdomWalls were paper thin and we could hear every word spoken next door - was a little funny but could have been embarrassing with different types of guests. Breakfast was embarrassing. Juice, coffee, small bagels with condiments, waffle machine that made one waffle before running out. Nothing else - No cereal, no fruit, nothing.
Nice hotel at a good rate close to city centre. Cheap and convenient parking outside door. Rooms were clean and functional and provided the comfort one would expect for the price.
