The kitchen area in our room was very small and although the room is very clean it is old fashioned. Think seaside rustic chic, some outdoor areas could do with a lick of paint but seeing that it is right next to the sea, that is just a job that is ongoing I'm sure! Also the pool is very deep. Our two small children had to stay just near the stairs and when there are other families in the pool, that end can be crowded quickly. However the sea is just a few steps away and with very gently slopes is a safe place for little ones to have fun in the water.

The receptionist was excellent. So friendly and really helpful, especially when we had a problem with our car rental. The breakfast was grab and go but very well stocked with a great variety of good quality food and drink to choose from. The included bike rental was my favourite way of exploring the island. Finally a big recommendation to Maggie, the nature guide, who have very informative talks on different nature found on the island.

Choices for breakfast (e.g., including bottled water) could have been a little better. Overall, however, it was terrific.

The rooms were nice, the location was great, and there were very nice amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach for guests, and the bicycles available to explore the bike path.

This property is excellent! the room itself was underwhelming upon arrival. it was dated, small, but perfectly clean and big enough for our family of four to only run into each other a little. The good news is you will not want to bother being in the room, because you are just steps from a gorgeous, nearly private beach. The resort provides beach chairs and umbrellas that they set up daily, there are beach towels, bikes, kayaks and paddle boards, among other things. The pool is a good size, and located just feet from the rooms. You could spend several days at the property and still wish you had more time in the tiny room. Breakfast was grab and go, nothing fancy, but tasty and they provided bags so we could bring our breakfast to the beach (watch for sneaky crows if you leave it unattended though). We would 100% stay here again, happily.

Fabulous position, gorgeos grounds and buildings.Lovely staff. Great breakfasts. Comfortable.Walking distance to some restaurants. Freebies, padfleboardz, kayaks etc. Idyllic. Ideal for visiting Sanibel and Captiva.

Beach access and the setup by the staff of umbrellas and beach chairs was appreciated. The use of bicycles, continental breakfast and room near the pool area were fantastic. My family throughly enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Also, having access to the sister properties, especially the pickle ball courts, was also enjoyed by all. The room was nice, but is definitely showing some wear and tear. Also, very much appreciated was access to laundry facilities, as well. The pool was also enjoyed by all. There was an extensive variety of choices to choose from; something for everyone!

The pool needed to be cleaned, algae on the walls. Bathroom need updating. The bed pillows were not comfortable.

The staff was great, friendly and helpful. The grab and go breakfast was nice. The quiet beach was beautiful. We used the bikes everyday.

The age of the building cannot be helped. It's showing a bit of wear and tear. For the price, I guess I would have expected a bit more modern ammenities. The room could have used a good scrubbing. The wicker headboard was very dusty, as was the ceiling fan. Found some trash between bed and nightstand.

Loved the quiet location. Breakfast was "grab and go" which was fine for us. The room on the second floor was nice overlooking the pool and with a "peek a boo" view of the ocean. Unfortunately it turned quite cold, so swimming in the pool or ocean were not possible.... They provide paddle boards and kayaks when safe to use. There are lounge chairs provided at the beach which is a plus.

The Uber driver left me at the Sanibel Inn upon my arrival instead of the Seaside Inn. This could have been my fault. I entered the wrong address or wrong name. Not sure. Still, the staff at the Sanibel Inn were just not super warm or helpful or empathetic about my mistake. Basically, 'oh walk that way it's about a mile. Good luck' Gee thnanks. Also I really think the rooms need a refresh. There are old fashioned light switches and bathroom fixtures. The shower is regulated with a pull up level.

I enjoyed the proximity to the beach. I also liked the breakfast which had a lot of options. I also liked the laid back quality of the inn and the opportunity to use the other properties' amenities.

Didn't like that the rooms were not restocked with wash clothes and towels daily.

Liked the staff friendliness. Fresh cookies were served daily. Liked the beach chairs and umbrellas that were set up each day. Loved how close to the beach we were. Pool was lovely. Room was comfortable and had fridge and microwave.
