Parking is a bit of a challenge. We ended up street parking (on a Sunday night) with no issues. Could of used some luggage racks in the room to set suitcases on.

The King bed was very comfortable- the pullout bed was pretty bad. Too small for two people and very uncomfortable mattress. The room heaters were very loud and kept us up as they turned on and off all night. The room was very clean - which was nice. The shower drain was slow and the tub filled with water after two showers. Staff was quite friendly.

The room we had was a bit small, but it was comfortable. My wife wished there was a hot water kettle for tea.

I liked the helpful staff and clean facilities. I especially liked that it was an interesting historic building. A good location near downtown, the university, and public transportation. Two coffee makers in the room (Keurig and Nespresso)!

Every day there was a different amount and variation of towels. One day I had to ask for a shower towel, the next day the hand towel was missing... If you need an invoice, make sure you get it printed out while check out. My stay was one month ago and I still do no have the invoice. Called several time to the hotel, also tried to contact the hotel via booking.com. Every time I was assured they will send it via mail... but till today, no invocie. Would not recommend the hotel for business travel.

The price is good, considering the area (Berkeley). Also the location is very good, close to a BART station. The rooms are quite comfortable.

Unfortunately there wasn’t a parking lot for the hotel so we had to pay $38/night. Also the bedding and pillows were uncomfortable and cheap. Time for an upgrade!

The hotel was located close to the Berkeley campus and to great dining options.

Linen in the room was minimal. One wash cloth and hand towel for 2 people and no shower mat. We used the had towel. I also appreciate real half and half for the coffee in the room. I cannot drink coffeemate, the only option there was.

The lemon drop martini at cocktail hour was exquisite. Breakfast delicious-we had the artichoke heart, fresh basil and tomato scramble. Staff members at both the hotel and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Looking forward to another trip to Berkeley so we can stay at the Shattuck.

Daily laundering of towels a but random, replaced when not needed etc… and not always replaced on a like for like basis, but really only a minor issue. Otherwise staff polite and helpful.

Excellent location in downtown Berkeley and just 2 minutes from the BART train station. Lots of good eateries nearby. Hotel has a great bar and its own restaurant.

The place is beautiful inside. The staff were incredibly kind to us and were able to adapt to the fact that we were in a huge rush to get to a concert that we were late to. The saw we were frazzled and helped us get through check-in quickly. The BED oh gosh, it is so comfortable that we stayed there as long as possible. I want to know what kind of sheets they use. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. And the curtains wrap all the way around the window so you can have full darkness. The location was great as well. We were able to walk to the venue and back.

The bathroom sink was a "bowl" with no sink top which made it inconvenient when traveling with someone else. Only one washcloth was provided (2 days in a row) for 2 people (both registered guests).

Beds were comfortable. Lots of outlets for devices. TV was in good working order. Shower pressure was good
