Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

It is an excellent location - walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The heated pool and gym were great. The complementary cruiser bikes and yoga on the beach was such a nice perk!

United KingdomThere was industrial action on one of the nights that we were at the hotel where staff were requesting to be paid for contracts and trumpeting noise with loud speakers. There were also lots of security guards on the property - clearly due to a security concern There were also homeless people and people with psychological issues that were walking the streets around the area and on the walk to the beach.
Room was clean Bathroom was too small for four people.

United KingdomWhen I checked in they tried to downgrade my room - I’d booked a deluxe king and they sent me to a tiny room on a high floor next to the lifts with no bath. I realised it didn’t fit the spec I’d paid for and asked to move. They just said it was a refurbed room and didn’t apologise, I had to make sure I was given the correct room specification. They didn’t argue back though so the move was relatively easy once I spoke up. I’ve uploaded photos of the difference in room type for reference. It’s also not the most soundproof - I could hear the conversation of the guests in the room next to me.
Beds were comfy and staff were mostly super polite and friendly. Room service was very quick, quality of food was ok. Lobby is nice, and they offer champagne (which I didn’t have but is a nice feature).

United StatesElevator line was very long. During our entire stay, the elevator lines were long, i.e. 5+ minutes. The lines at the check-in desk we equally long, while the lobby was very noisy and overall did not provide that warm and fuzzy feeling you expect when travelling and wanting to relax at a hotel. Given the price of the rooms, the price/value ration is rather low unfortunately.

United StatesIt's an old facility, and that age shows in the hallways and the rooms. I don't think they should charge as much as they do, especially compared to some of the other hotels in the area that have spectacular views of the ocean etc. My family, however thought it was great. I'm pickier about design, and like to have a lot of natural light in my room.
The location is about a 10 minute walk from the Santa Monica beach and pier and Palisades Park. So much to walk to and enjoy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Meals were excellent and fairly priced. The lobby and pool area is pleasant. The room was comfortable and clean with decent bedding.

SingaporeWas charged for 2 nights' parking when I didn't bring a car at all. I brought it to the attention of the staff while checking out and they assured me it'll be refunded. Haven't heard from the hotel yet about it even though it's been 1.5 months! We were also not given a tax exemption for another room I had booked for my extended family even though my cousin is entitled to it and gets it everywhere in the US, including hotels, restaurants, cafes etc. He was promised that'll be done at the time of checking in but we were subsequently denied. That's really disappointing...
Room was nice and spacious, but with no view. And it faced a construction site. Location was so-so. Breakfast (which I paid for) was decent.

United StatesThe plumbing needs work--my toilet was clogged before I got there and I had to call Engineering twice to come and unclog it. The cable channel selection was very limited; worse, the cable wiring certainly needs to be redone because the quality of reception was very poor. Also, the in-hotel restaurant's menu was very limited.
The staff were stellar--everyone was quite accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.

NetherlandsSwimming pool was nos as big as I expected, but still very nice, no room service, but bar and restaurant open until 10:00 PM, food was good, limited options, but all of them very tasty. I thought there was a spa, but it’s really third party services to go outside. Not in the hotel. The hotel was not as close to the beach as I expected. The price of the stay should be lower considering all those limitations. But besides those minor things I loved the stay. A place I would not regret to come back many times.
Staff was amazing, service and kindness makes you want to stay more and come back, though there was no buffet the American breakfast with all the choices available was amazing! Bedroom always comfortable, clear, clean and nice, location was very good.
