When we said something to management about our issue they only offered to refund us our parking which was 25$ a day.

We didn’t know the property was under construction. Every morning we were woken up at 7:30 to people working above us.. we paid a good amount to stay here for a week.

Room did not always get cleaned. Had to seek out staff for toilet paper, garbage bags and clean towels. There was not enough pool towels for all guest. Also don’t feel for price of resort fee there was much included.

Walking distance, staff was friendly. Great music during day. Relaxed setting.

The maid service was awful. Our room floors were never cleaned. We had sand build up and our feet turned black. We tipped the maids and I don’t think they cleaned anything. Not only were the floors filthy but they didn’t clean countertops. They didn’t leave enough towels on a few night and we had to call and get more. I didn’t like how chair rental at the beach was sneaky about adding an automatic 8% gratuity and a 10% service charge and then had a space for a tip.

This hotel has so much potential. The grounds are great. The atmosphere is great. The live music was great. I thought the restaurants and food were good. Overall the outside of the hotel were great.

My room. I know it has been updated but still the whole place is really dated. Too expensive. I couldn’t believe I was charged for parking for the price of my room.

The cleanliness:( Floors were dirty upon arrival, the bottom of our feet were black within minutes of walking around. The updates were good for the most part but some flooring was warped, some wood rot on doors and floors in bathroom and the filter for the AC needed a change! It was dirty

The location! The resort also has very nice amenities like restaurants, pools, beach hammocks and kids activities. Guest laundry was decent but of course crowded! Parking was also good, plentiful and close to your building.

Outdated rooms. Could have used better cleaning in the rooms. They weren’t gross, they just needed some attention to detail in areas they don’t get cleaned every time. Sometimes you need to do more than change the sheets, towels, and sweep the floor. We thought having to wear a bracelet was a bit tacky so we just didn’t wear it and nobody bothered us about it.

Overall you could tell they’ve sold out and have stopped putting money into it. Beds were uncomfortable, couch cushions torn, couch throw pillows dirty…our ceiling over the kitchenette was incomplete. Also had to pay $25/day to park there on top of what we had paid for our room. Definitely not what you’d expect for the pricing.

The layout of the resort was great-2 pools conveniently located by restaurants. The food at Run Runners was great and easy to order from the pool. Kids activities were well planned and fun! Any time we needed more towels, blankets, or roll-away bed, it was delivered promptly.

I requested an ocean view suite through the booking.com site but that is not what I got. Resort definitely needs updated. Carpets are filthy and worn. Rooms need updated furnishings

We were disappointed that beach chairs were no longer included (they were the last time we visited). You can tell that they are about to tear down our building (#4) because it needed some cosmetic things like paint.

The location is wonderful with great access to the beach. Check-in was easy - we love Glen at the front desk! Enjoyed the heated pools and daily live music.

Unnecessary $20 nightly parking fee during shoulder season, with low occupancy. Disturbing pounding & scraping from 7am-10pm, caused by floor replacement, that we were not made aware of. We should have been offered a reduced room rate and relocation to a quiet section of the resort.

Room - very dated and first room had very soiled mattress and second room had soiled sofa. We stayed in the second room. Mattress was worn, would recommend the mattresses be spun to accommodate even wearing. Hallway carpeting was terrible. Definitely get the $95 million dollar update started!!

Rooms - had King Deluxe balcony not overlooking the water and was nice size. Pools/bars/restaurants were well maintained. Location was very good.

Bathroom is tiny with little water pressure. No washcloths. Sliding glass door to patio was impossible to fully shut and lock without 2 people manipulating it into place - being on the bottom floor directly on the beach that wasn't very safe (sliding glass door was NOT locked when we checked into the room). A $45 / day resort fee + parking on top of room rate was ridiculous and should be included in daily rate or they should drop their nightly rate.

We stayed here 16 yrs ago and the place looked new and it wasn't, but now it's starting to be rundown, like the owner just doesn't want to spend the money on cleaning the bottom of drapes, replacing or fixing tears in shears, painting chipping paint spots. Clean: the cleaning crew is excellent but they can only do so much. I understand there is a new owner after 3 generations owning it. Hopefully they will see the diamond this resort can still be with a little TLC and yes money. Spend it - it will be worth it. Clearwater can not be blamed for everything. Some people like the smaller hotels and condos, and find the 24 storied building horrible and lacking soul.
