Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI was totally fine with it, but it was tricky finding ways to keep the unit smelling good due to the composting toilet. If I’m able to come back, I’ll probably bring a fan and essential oil sprays to freshen the air. It wouldn’t deter me from returning.
I loved the quiet, secluded location, and I felt the trailer was stocked with everything I needed for a peaceful stay.

United StatesWas tailgated by a man on a motorcycle when we arrived, and pulled up next to us and questioned us what we were doing there and what we wanted. Because he lived there, We tried explaining to him we were looking for an address. But he just kept staring staring at us and made us feel very uncomfortable. Turned out to be the next door neighbor.
It was nice and cozy. Host was very friendly and helpful. Very quiet and pieceful. Very close to ojai. Would definitely stay there again.

United StatesThe shower was unsteady to be in, when you stepped in, it was unleveled and wobbly. Also, slightly difficult/unsafe, coming off the road into the place, but you get more familiar as you come and go. I don’t think that’s something that can be changed.

United StatesThe deck overlooks a stream which was peaceful. We were there on a rainy evening but they have a covered pergola with a fireplace underneath, and we spent hours tending to a fire, dry with rain falling around us.

United StatesThe view and location right alongside Sisar Creek could not have been more beautiful. The patio that overlooks this view was made gorgeous with special party lights and comfortable, beautiful macrame swings and a convenient outdoor table. The trailer was small but cute as a button and very thoughtfully decorated and appointed. Instructions from the owner were clear and easy, and she was available and friendly while being very hands off, even though she lives on the property.

United StatesWell, the driveway required backing up a long way, which is more difficult for these 2 senior ladies. Luckily the one smaller car was able to turn-around with some manuvering , so we adjusted to it.
Gate remote allowing access to property was right where host said it would be. Easy to find and ample parking for both cars. Camper was unlocked so no need to fuss with keys, as the remote got us there. Host was very nice, when we needed things she was accommodating. Rustic, but cozy and perfect for wanting to escape from the busy world. The outside gardens & patio was lovely and perfect to unwind at the end of each day. Loved the friendly gray kitty who visited us.

United StatesThe only minor downside was that we had to walk along Ojai Road to get to Thomas Aquinas College to see our daughter. But even that wasn’t big deal since it was a really short walk, and an even shorter drive :)
The accommodations were thoughtfully appointed - we had everything we needed and the amount of space for the two of us was just perfect. We were very cozy and comfortable without feeling at all cramped. And the outdoor space was absolutely lovely. The creek provided a beautiful backdrop and soothing background noise and the swings on the patio were incredibly relaxing.

United StatesCoffee could have been a better quality and I highly suggest putting something under bathroom rug so it won't slip. If that's the worst, then it was fine!
Looked for an inexpensive place to get away and this was perfect. It's a private trailer in a private part of the yard, overlooking the creek. Fresh Eggs were provided for a fee, however we didn't take advantage of that. Location was great. Bed was comfortable. Parking easy

United StatesOnly visit the college next door if you have children who plan on going there, not for tourists or the curious (that's all I'm sayn')! Some traffic noise from Hwy 150, but nothing compared to living next to the city or freeway. And of course, the usual sound of a plane which you would have to go to Mars to get away from. I use a cane to walk, and it was good. But do not go there if you are wheelchair bound.
Kitchen was stocked with staples. Microwave, stove and oven. Pots and pans. Nice ceramic dishes/cups. Clean. All linens are freshly washed, including the bedspreads! I used the oil radiator heater during a cold spell, and it was so pleasant, like a peat fire in Ireland, soft and warm, not too hot and the air did not dry out. So comfortable. I am afraid to tell you how pleasant it was because it may become booked!😊 I have arthritis and impaired vision. I could not hike around the site (the punch bowls are naturally spring fed swimming pools only 8 miles away!). But I stayed at the RV which had a beautiful deck, right next to a spring fed stream. The deck and entrance met at an equal level, smooth, no tripping hazard. There is a clean hammock for two right on the deck with a quilted cotton comforter and pillow, freshly washed. Fresh farm eggs from Szylvia's chickens are in the refrigerator. She even left me some dried persimmon slices next to my door with more eggs because I was making blueberry cakes. I visited the goats, rare Nigerian dwarfs, so sweet and the females were all pregnant! I stayed there alone for three days but felt very safe (security gate entrance). She never bugged me by coming over but kept my privacy secure. She did call and would ask if everything was OK. Next to the deck you have a beautiful flag stone patio with large marble mosaic patio set, 70s style hanging macrame swings, a barbecue and pizza oven. This is no place to watch TV and take the city with you (there is no TV and only one radio station). ONLY come here if you want to find peace, a place to rest from the city. DO NOT BRING THE CITY WITH YOU OR ALL YOUR STUFF-- if you really need all that just stay home or go somewhere else, you do not deserve this place! Parties are not allowed, but it is the ideal place to get away to for nature, even if you are older and have health conditions. Few steps to manage and RV is roomy, clean and comfortable.

United StatesWas tailgated by a man on the road on our way in who turned out to apparently be the caretaker. Upon arrival he stood at the gate staring at us and did not wave back or identify himself. Creepy. Put me on edge. Place is advertised on booking as a two bedroom house when it is clearly a trailer. Beds are not twin beds, I slept in feral position on "twin bed" to fit my kids on queen bed. Trash all over patio on check-in. False advertising as a two bedroom house is extremely misleading. Owner seems nice, appreciated being able to bring my dog. but, overall, not happy, should change ad to reflect what the place is, a trailer. Not at all as advertised.
Creek and property were beautiful. Fireplace was nice.
