The Sourdough Sunrise B&B was excellent! The room was very clean and the building was beautiful. The attention to detail is amazing. Richard and Sue are very kind and the breakfast Richard makes is delicious. The location was great, not far from town and close to the Exit Glacier area. We really enjoyed our stay there and would go back again.

This place was so cute! The owners were so sweet, accommodating, and made a great breakfast! The location is perfect, close to the docks for your fishing trips and cruises, and just off the road to get to exit glacier. All of the rooms were booked while we were there and it was still very nice and quiet. I would highly recommend this place for your visit to Seward!

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B: beautiful cabin-like wood finishing throughout on a spacious wooded property. The breakfast of homemade sourdough pancakes was scrumptious and the owners were very friendly with good travel advice.

We would rent a two-bed room next time. But when we booked, they were sold out.

The place was beautiful with wild colorful flowers blooming around the building. The room was clean with lush green trees outside the windows We felt like staying in a forest. The owners Richard and Sue served us great free breakfast each morning. We enjoyed chating with them and amazed by their life story. They recommended us good places to eat and visit around the town. If you are dog lovers, there are no better place than this. Their two friendly dogs would definitely make your day. The place is located convientnly. It is only a couple of miles to get to the habor in town for the cruise or get the Exit Glacy for hiking to see gaciers up close. Good money value. Highyl recommed it.

Nothing — wonderful place to stay!

Beautiful B&B — the room and bathroom were spacious, great window. Communal area had a lovely patio looking out into the woods and mountains. Shared kitchen had all the basics needed. The owner Richard makes his famous Sourdough pancakes for you every morning, and he’s great to talk to. Great location close to Seward’s downtown. This place is a gem!

“It’s all about the details”. Richard’s and Sue’s B&B is one of the most cozy places I’ve ever been. Everything was carefully thought and placed, starting from the building itself to the awesome sourdough pancakes (you must try them). Richard will happily chat with you when you meet him, and he’s happy to share his stories with you. If you’re a dog person, you will be happy to know that their two dogs are super playful and kind.

Hair/blow dryer needed replaced or cleaned. Did not work well and I was afraid to use it.

Convenient, safe, peaceful and quiet setting. Enjoyed conversations with other guests and the owner around home cooked breakfast each morning. Proprietor's beautiful carpentry and woodworking throughout the inn.

Surrounded by woods, this exceptional B&B has been lovingly built by Richard, a retired master woodworker, and his wife Sue. It has so many wonderful details. It is extremely clean and comfortable. The common area that has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee, tea and couch opens on to a lovely balcony. Their dogs Buddy and Burl add to the charm. Richard is a warm host and makes a scrumptious breakfast of sourdough pancakes, bacon and fruit every morning. He has so much wisdom and history to share. I was worried about sea sickness and he told me a trick that worked like a charm on our full day cruise of Kenai Fjords. Thank you, Richard!
