The pass code was not working when we arrived. We tried to reach the host and after 30 minutes he picked up our phone call.

I invited the hotel manager at Check-in and Check-out for a joint inspection but he failed to turn up. There should be joint inspections by the manager and renter at check-in and check-out to ensure any damages are noted from the onset, as the hotel manager took a deposit for damages. It is highly incredible and beggars belief that in this case, the manager is cynically carrying out inspections unilaterally only after Check-out, behind the back of the renter; how can he know whether the damages were subsisting prior to Check-in? At best he may blackmail the renter as being responsible for any damage(s) just to justify withholding the deposit. That is fraudulent. The manager should refund the deposit 6 days after Check-out as stated in the rules and regulations for renting the flat, or else, say why. Withholding the deposit amount in full or part is a rip-off, which is totally dishonest, and leaves nothing to be desired. Honesty is the best policy.

Location was interesting. Some quality pre war buildings. Lots of car repair shops and mechanics in the area. Got to practice Caribbean Spanish, leeward island English and even some French and Bengali. Locals, though appearing somewhat rough, were communicative and engaging. Good Dominican restaurant in front of the subway station, opposite of the Ortiz Funeral Home. The Indian fruit vendor and a gregarious Moroccan food vendor on the same corner by the station gave some stability to the area. House is 2 blocks from the station on a tree lined street. Has a home like, solid early 20th century feel to it. Ok for a one or two night stay.

The location is not ideal. It's a rough area. Getting into the unit is time-consuming and quite frankly way too excessive. I had to enter 4 different combination codes to get into my room, and there were weird steps like turning one door handle left and then the next door turning the handle right. It's ridiculous. Wifi wasn't that strong. The room seemed like it wasn't cleaned. Dust was everywhere, sheets didn't smell or feel fresh. Nothing to eat nearby. Everything written so far, I could look past, but the customer service of the host was much worse. Communication with the host was atrocious. It didn't feel like I was a valued PAYING customer. I had to reach out to get basic information and was met with terse responses that felt very hostile. When I asked for the address and how to pick up the keys, I was sent a YouTube video about some missing girl (it was weird) and when I asked about it, the response was "IT MEANS NO SMOKING ON THE PREMISES." A simple "Please do not smoke in the room or near the premises" would have sufficed. There are so many rules with the threat of losing your $100 deposit and messages received from the host are in ALL CAPS. Also, checkout is at 10 a.m. or some unreasonable time. Overall I wish I had paid more money to stay somewhere nicer, but even if the place wasn't that nice, the customer service was much worse. It felt like I was an inmate trying to appease an angry warden.

The overall price was decent, but only because I used to live in NYC and know the city well enough to stay in that location for the weekend. I would not suggest staying here to save money if you are a tourist.

What I didn't like was the WI Fi was awful & our program wouldn't stay on. Also u should have a Table lamp in the room. That only ceiling lite was awful.

The miscommunication with the property owner. There were a lot of mistakes made. We were given the wrong room to begin with and there was a lot of confusion with pricing and what pictures coincided with what room.

I liked the convenience of the location. The 2nd room we were moved to was much better than the first. I'm giving a high rating because issues were resolved and we still had an amazing time.

nothing that would turn me off

were in NY for a football game & wanted somewhere to lay our heads, a hot shower & close to transportation ands thats what we got extra securuty of codes put previous guests off but we found it reasuring. Others mentioned no heat at night we found the opposite. The location of subway entrance 50mtrs ideal even if downtown station was closed for improvements. Neighbourhood looked iffy at 1st but we had no issues. dealing with Richard was easy once you are cluded into what your end of the deal was regards providing all your neccessary details . He was professional. It is very important to do the paperwork in advance of arriving.

it was a struggle to get the doorcodes. and the All caps messages were not needed in my opinion. could have been a friendlier tone. and location is not great, but that was already known.

once its settled, you know how the codes work etc. then it's pretty convenient. the place is also bigger than I thought.

The bathroom shower curtains needs to be changed ASAP. Water pressure in shower was inadequate, maybe changing shower head would help with this. The room was hot, it would be better to have the AC in the bedroom. TV had no internet connection, therefore no form of entertainment. Bed pillows were a bit flat.

I was angry at the host all day. I could not confirm anything about the stay until I was on my way to the property's location, the exact address of which I did not even know when I got in the cab. Long story/short, I understand what the host was trying to do and had I understood earlier, I would not have been so stressed. Richard, the host, turned out to be human in the end.

The room was clean and the fridge and microwave were nice amenities.

The bed was not made up, the shower curtain was sideways, there was a soap in the shower yet, the freezer was a little dirty but in the end I just needed a bed for my kids to sleep. I had my blanket in the car and other supplies so we was okay just for the night.

I just needed somewhere fast to lay my kids head and this was reditaly available. It's really quiet so no noisy party from neighbors. Owner is very professional.

Cleanleness of the studio was not very ok. Sofa is not suitable for sleeping if you are planning to do this.. furniture and kitchenette are so basic, i had to call the host upon arrival to correct the access key to the building. I had to call booking.com to request the refund of my security deposit.

Place is Not noisy, you Can sleep well. Location is very near to underground station, and there are some little shops open almost 24/7

-Too many door codes. -the was not comfortable at all. The bed bed was on some piece of wood and if you're not careful you knock your toes on those pieces of wood all the time. -there's an iron board but, there were no iron. -it would be nice to have at leas a dresser. Or a closet. There's no space, no draws for clothes.

The property manager was there and was able to help with the door codes. -the appartment was clean

We did not get what we saw on the pictures. The room was smaller. It was hard to get the passwords to the doors, had a lot of conversation til we got it finally.
