Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room was right next to the reception area and was extremely noisy at all hours from people in the lobby. Bedding was questionable. Curtains were half falling off the windows. Bath towel was stained. Broke down cars on cinder blocks in the parking lot.

A bit old and rudimentary rooms. I was double charged and had to call in to try ti fix it . But they could do nothing for me on the phone and told me to wait 5 days. The staff could not even find my reservation from the day before at first so this is kinda messy and I'm worried this mistake is making work for me

Thin walls, heard neighbors TV past 10pm. No elevator & didn't like hauling heavy bags upstairs - we were relocating and needed to empty cab of moving trucks for safety. Breakfast was unhealthy. No sausage, bacon, eggs - just sugary junk breakfast For $150, it was a very bad deal. On this relocation trip, I stayed in historic motels & hotels that were charming + quiet + comfortable + Excellent Breakfasts for $80-$125 per night. Taos is NOT great enough to make this hotel a deal.

Terrible job on the maintenance and upkeep of hotel. It could be nice, but... Patch work is done terrible. Paint job is done terrible with many mistakes. Cracked mirror. Water damage bubbles in paint
I liked the location. Staff was friendly and helpful and does the best with how the facility was updated. Poor work with the upgrade.

A broken down vehicle as you turned in , on blocks! Carpeting and curtains outdated and the safety issues of no hand rails or non-slip mats in bathtubs is simply a legal matter waiting to occur! I’ll never understand why every modern motel or hotel simply doesn’t have walk in showers, the safety issues are obvious and the potential for litigation are paramount!

Key cards have been a huge issue…. they seem to only work for a single day no matter how long your stay is. Always having to go to the front desk to get reset. Still no ice machine….

Could use a mirror in each bedroom.
The breakfast was adequate. Room was good value for the money. We had a two bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms, lots of towels and hot shower. Friendly staff.

The very dated condition of the property can be forgiven as it was the only hotel available. The room had a smoke detector that had a lazor type flashing light, was impossible to sleep. Literally unsuccessfully wore sunglasses to bed!

The mattress was lumpy and the pillows were hard. Also, there's way too much ambient light in the parking lot, and it leaks in around the window curtains, so I had trouble falling asleep. They could have a perfectly safe parking lot with half the wattage!
The room was clean, everything worked, and the A/C was fairly quiet. When I was checking in, I discovered that I'd been given a second-floor room, and asked the desk clerk whether I could get a first-floor room: I'm a senior with hip problems, and the motel has no elevator. She changed me to a different room on the first floor, but it wasn't ready yet. I said I'd wait and went to get something out of my car -- and she followed me a few minutes later to tell me my room was ready. Great service!

Room smelled like cigarettes even though it is a non-smoking facility. Was given $30 to compensate for it, though that was a back and forth dance between being charged $30 and refunded $30 back and forth. Floors in my room were sticky for some reason.
Breakfast was a decent plus. Room was a decent size. Ability to open the window. Friendly staff.
