We would have liked to have a complete breakfast, and not just a muffin at 8:30, after we had already left for the day.

    Excellent location.

Upstairs rooms in vintage house so stairs steep but.to be expected in 1800s house!

Loved Mendocino. Sweetwater Inn is cozy and quaint...Limited kitchen amenities, bath quarters a little cramped but generous bedroom and bed. Parking can be a little dicey betting in and out of the driveway. Very little contact with staff. Diana did swap us to a more accessible room.

Cottage is too small for two people, but would be fine for one person. Refrigerator is too close to floor, have to bend over to use it, and it didn’t hold enough.

Great location, easy parking and check in, friendly host, private hot tub, fenced yard for dog, very clean, loved muffins delivered to door for breakfast.

When I chose the room I was under the impression that the second bed was not a sofa bed. Also, if the sofa bed was longer and more comfortable it would have been fine, but it sagged, was too short and very squeaky when my daughter turned.

Everything was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the great location and the gardens. Also, the breakfast pastries were great from Goodlife Cafe. Last, our queen bed was comfortable.

We stayed in Sears Tower. The layout is strange because of how it was arranged. Bed by the kitchen. Kitchen is very bare bones but it worked for us.

Very well located in the village. Quiet, except we could hear the entertainment from next door. One night it was a pleasure though. One bed was very comfy, the one by the kitchen, not so much.

Apple cottage, the stove is NOT leveled, and they used generic burner trays that don't fit so cooking eggs and most everything is a pain. Easy fix, but......

The room was very dated and the town was depressing. It seems like a sad place to live. The staff made a huge deal about free muffins which weren't that impressive.

The bed was super comfy and the coffee in the room was yummy.

Don't expect super-modern luxury, it's not that kind of place. Accessing the spa by going out the front of the house, round the side and down the back, in a robe and in the drizzle, was - well, an adventure I suppose.

Somewhere between 'quirky' and 'homely', so I guess that must be 'quomely'. Comfortable bed, excellent muffins for breakfast, well located for strolling round the town or headlands.

The kitchen could have been a little better equipped (only a microwave available). We found preparing food a little tricky which was a shame as the local supermarket offered so much good produce. A combi oven would have been ideal.

A quirky little place which seems to fit in with the rest of Mendocino, a charming village. Breakfast was freshly baked muffins delivered to your door in the morning, a lovely touch.

    Could offer breakfast.

Inn is very nice and well located. Have't seen anybody from staff, but everything worked well. Keys were waiting in a box and we could enter without problems. They don't serve breakfast, but bring tasty muffins to the door. The coffee machine in the room helps prepare a simple breakfast. It offers a very nice spa, with sauna and a hot tube and the room is very nice.

A bit below my standard for cleanliness but overall we were very comfortable.

The towels and sheets/ bedding were wonderful compared to 95%of places I've stayed, including 5 star resorts. The muffins in the morning are out of this world!

Sheer, wrinkled curtains with no privacy. Cramped room up tall, narrow stairs. Uncomfortable hammock like bed. “Pastries” were dry muffins delivered too late for breakfast. Coffee was undrinkable. Watered down the soap and shampoo to an unusable state. Had cheap soap in an ECOS bottle that smelled like gasoline. The community hot tub was not available because they locked the doors.
