Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe atmosphere was amazing. The entire resort was beautiful. Very relaxing. We loved the bed...it was a firm memory foam and we slept great. Our hosts( Chad & Jill) were very kind and friendly. They had a spa which was amazing at night. We plan on coming back and would recommend this place for anybody looking to get away and relax.

United States of AmericaJust one small thing, the suite we were in had a large window that went into the bedroom and the sun came up at 5:30 vert bright and woke us up so I would suggest a blind or something for in the summer.
Very relaxing and I liked how they did breakfast where you could go get what you wanted and take it back to your room. Also a very quiet calm setting.

United States of AmericaSoundproofing could have been better- you could hear conversations in the other areas from your room.
Beautiful Setting- Quiet and a true retreat. The staff were attentive, but not intrusive, the self- serve breakfast was more than adequate, with many choices. Rooms comfortable and spacious. Lodge- like atmosphere, but close to town for shopping and dining, and recreation options. We will definitely recommend, and plan to return!

United States of AmericaMy husband didn't like that you had to take your shoes off (I didn't mind), so maybe bring slip on shoes or slippers if you're going in and out. You are welcome to leave your shoes by the front door, so I didn't really see it as an issue. The hardwood floors are in pristine condition which is probably since everyone takes their shoes off!
Everything was very nice at Talus Rock. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a great variety of quick and easy items to go or sit down and enjoy. We really enjoyed the gorgeous grounds and the inside is just beautiful. The bed was very comfortable, we asked for extra pillows and received them quickly. We also had a problem with our TV which staff was able to take care of. Definitely recommend this place for either staying and relaxing or as we were on the go most of our trip, it was such a lovely space to come "home" to.

United States of AmericaThe place is great and you feel like you’re at home. We’ve been traveling for more than two months and from the minute we arrived it was “ahhhh”. We checked in late but it was so easy…like we were set up with an entry pass code and it was seamless. Spent a bit of time with Heather (the owner) the next morning and she is an outstanding person. She and her husband collect from international travels and experiences and it’s a place where she shares those. Although she doesn’t “push” what she is doing from a philanthropic perspective, she is on a mission to make a difference in lives of others less fortunate. She is real. Wish we could have stayed a day or two more to explore the area….btw the restaurant Trinity down by the shore is superb as are the staff and owner (Justin)

United States of AmericaThe walls are very thin and we could hear everything from the room next door. The pool area was run down but to the staff’s credit they addressed that right away when I spoke to them.
Beautiful peaceful house with tall ceilings, great woodwork and a wonderful accommodating helpful staff. Lovely piece of land with views and deer wandering through. Very close to everything in the area but feels rural. we didn’t get a chance to use all the amenities, but there are bikes and a hot tub too.

United States of AmericaThe staff was friendly and accommodating. The retreat was very comfortable and beautifully decorated plus the surrounding property was very serene. It was also conveniently located to downtown Sandpoint. A delicious breakfast was offered each morning plus access to beverages and snacks. The Inn also has a hot tub, sauna, pool and nature trail plus use of bicycles. It felt like home away from home.

United States of AmericaFor the price we paid, I think the breakfast bar could have contained more homemade items, such as muffins, fresh bread, scones. A little more fresh fruit than bananas, apples and oranges. It was July when we visited and there are a lot more fresh fruits available. I found a dental floss pic in the chaise lounge, yuck. The windows were dirty and the shower heads were in desperate need of some CLR to remove the well water calcium build up. The jetted tub had not been fully cleaned, also yuck.
Absolutely stunning grounds. The architecture of the home is fabulous. The staff gave us a tour of the grounds and the house. Very impressive. A little detail everywhere you look. The staff are wonderful people. We went to relax and unwind and that we did.
