I really can't think of anything except the addition of one larger skillet, and honestly, that was so minimal to perfection of the rest of the experience.

Absolutely beautiful luxury lodging in the heart of a revitalized downtown Springfield. So many convenient coffee shops, restaurants, close to our family. We went with our 2 adult children, Not only was it a 3 bed 2 bath but it's a genuine apartment. Places for us to separate and have our own time, beautifully furnished, so many extras like the linen closets. The kitchen is very nice, One larger skillet would be nice since it is a 3 bedroom but otherwise it had everything. So many little extra touches. The beds were comfortable, the couches were comfortable. We stayed on the second floor in the Bressmer suite. It was very clean. A lot of the original wood, transoms over the doors, are original adding to the experience. amazing.

Musty smell, fluffier pillows, need newer coffee system, new batteries in remote. But these are more of suggestions; not criticisms.

Highly recommend! The house was located was right next to an amazing bakery and from it we walked to the capitol, the Lincoln Museum and Library and Lincoln Home National Historic Site. The rooms were perfectly decorated and appointed, with super comfortable beds and well stocked kitchens and bathrooms. Easy communication and check in.

The front door doesn't lock on its own. Somebody has to lock it after they leave... unfortunately, the other guest left it unlocked multiple times, which is a safety concern. Some of the beds were very uncomfortable. Kitchen was not cleaned very well before our stay. Dirty dishes in dishwasher, crumbs under appliances. It's not a huge deal, but considering there is a $180 cleaning fee, I feel like it should be spotless. (Also, the guest has to pick up before they leave, so it should actually be double cleaned, but it definitely was not very clean in the kitchen, and light bulbs were out in multiple rooms).

Absolutely Beautiful Inside & Out! The Location Is PERFECT For Exploring Springfield! Seriously Only Mins Away From Historic Sites And Downtown Area. A Few Mins The Other Direction And You Are Close To Waterpark & Attractions! The kitchen is perfect to cook in! Everything is just stunning. Staying here is an experience and perfect for the theme of visiting historical sites as a vacation! The online communication, directions and text with the host were easy to follow. Super seamless check in and out procedures. I would recommend this place to everybody!

We chose the property because of the history and charm. We understand that visitors should take great care when staying in such a space. The many email and text reminders of care made us feel a bit like walking on eggshells, however.

It was wonderful to stay in a historic house. It was exceptionally clean. Everything was provided that we might need for our stay. It is located in walking distance of restaurants and entertainment. Loved staying there.

Communication, we received many emails and texts with all sorts of instructions. However, my only question about the availability of a baby crib was vaguely answered and upon arrival there was none…. luckily I brought our own baby bed. And $150 cleaning costs, written in small letters when you book.

Nice mansion and you have the complete floor for yourself. Decoration was lovely. Still with new amenities. My toddler felt like a princess.

All of the wonderful historic items were preserved and some were available at low levels for children. Our kids are a little older and did not disturb, but please be cautious if you consider bringing younger kids that like to touch!

What a fabulous place to stay! Historic with modern upgrades that made it so cozy for our family. The weather outside was below freezing, but we were warm inside! The owners have clearly put in meticulous work to restore this place to its gorgeous state, and every room gave us something to view and told a story. It was especially wonderful to be in town for a trip to the Lincoln museum and stay in such a historic and beautiful home. Thank you!

We rented both the ground floor and the second floor for a weekend family girl's trip. My oldest daughter lives in town and my youngest daughter is getting married. It was wonderful to have everyone stay in one place to continue our visit after our festivities at my daughter's home were over. So much more fun and comfortable than staying in separate hotel rooms, especially since we live all over the country and do not see each other often. The Bressmer was fully equipped with all the modern necessities but had luxurious period pieces and to quote my daughter: " this place is AMAZING and the weekend was everything I could have dreamed of". The location was also convenient, within walking distance to restaurants and a short drive to other amenities we needed. Highly recommend!!! Thank you!

Uncomfortable sofa with stained upholstery, not enough seating for 4 people in living room, over washed grey towels, one was still damp. Stained bedding, only one electrical outlet in kitchen, over the sink, safety hazard. Window screens in bedrooms not fitted correctly in tracks, rattled all night. Broken A/C vent in bedroom floor next to bed, injury hazard. Tired needs a refresh to provide the luxury accommodation promised.

The property had a strong odor, which was difficult to bear. My wife started to cough and had a difficult time breathing. It seemed that nobody had checked the property prior to our arrival to at least open the windows and allow some air in. We left after being there for an hour. Once I informed them via WhatsApp about the situation, there was no effort or attempt to meet with us or look into the situation. We just got this automatic message saying that they hoped our stay was a good one, etc., going over the check-out procedure! Our request for a partial refund was not fulfilled.
