Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe fact that we couldn't stay longer.
We checked into The Donatello for a little staycation. You cannot beat the price for location, comfort, and quality. Located one block away from downtown's Theater Row and Union Square, there are unlimited choices of restaurants, markets, shopping, and entertainment. The hotel offers a lovely lounge with coffee, hot chocolate, and tea, comfortable seating and amazing views of the city. The rooms are large, well-appointed, and very comfortable. Our room had a lovely patio. The staff was polite and accommodating. There is a restaurant with live music on the weekends. We got much more for our money than we were expecting. A very peasant surprise!!!

SingaporeThe housekeeping wasn't done on a daily basis. We didn't feel welcome into a clean room when we returned after a long day of walking. The basic amenities that one needs in the bathroom weren't available, like the hotels in Asia. We had to buy at the convenient store.
I love the fully equipped kitchenware that allowed us to dine in and enjoyed the wine we bought at the Napa Valley. I am absolutely delighted with the filtered water and ice that we could retrieve from Level 7. We could fill up our bottles as we were walking a lot and needed to drink loads of water. Thank you for the space in the hotel room. Most hotel rooms are small, leaving little room to walk once you lay your luggage on the floor. Finally, the staff at the lobby were friendly and helpful. Thank you for making us fill welcomed.

MoldovaRoom: Beautiful, with huge windows and a nice view. The kitchen corner was equipped beyond my expectations! Plates, utensils, glasses, kitchen towels, even sponge and liquid for washing the dishes. The only thing missing was a kettle for tea, but you can repurpose the coffee maker. Very comfortable bed, big bathroom. They warned me at check-in that the cleaning will not be done every day, but it was sufficient for me. Location: Great, few min walk to the union square, close to some bus stops. Just avoid going to the direction of the problematic neighbourhood. The terrace lounge was very nice and cozy, possible to take tea, coffee or hot cocoa.

PhilippinesThe staff was fantastic! Special mention to Mark of the front desk. He made us feel at ease after an 11-hour flight. The whole experience was great and the location is fantastic. The room is quite spacious and the mini kitchen is a nice touch. I'd stay here again if I ever go back to San Francisco.

United States of AmericaRoom view overlooked abandoned building with trash all over. Restaurant on property was waaaayyyy over priced ($50+) after 20% tip for two standard cocktails. Hot tub was extremely small, picture is misleading. Room had dilapidated furniture.

United States of AmericaParking was high but compared to other hotels it was actually cheaper. The saunas are separate one for men and one for women so I didn't get to enjoy a sauna with my husband.
The staff was very friendly and so helpful. The room was large and very clean. Live jazz music on Saturday nights in the restaurant. Central location close to everything we wanted to do.
