Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIts the little things that let them down. For example when we checked in, no one offered us the extensive list of activities they had, I had to find this on the day we left. There was no coffee in the room, the room needed a refresh, and upon arrival from skiing the bar was closed at 4pm ? They seemed overwhelmed with the number of people there on a holiday weekend in ski season, which should have been anticipated. They are so close to excellence, but need to really iron out a few things to command the price they do.
This place has enormous potential and so much that families enjoy. Great pool, outdoor hot tub, classes, activities and lots of hang out spaces. This really matters if you don't get a good ski day and need to hunker down.

United States of AmericaThe Chop House restaurant did not meet expectations. The vegetarian meal (grilled butternut squash) did not match what was listed on the menu and for the price charged was lacking. The items included on the menu listing (mushroooms for example) were not on the dish and it was not grilled. Our tea came after our dessert was finished. The specialty cocktail drinks were good.
The location is great, hotel was beautiful and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

United States of AmericaWe were not allowed to go into our room because it was not ready even at 3.50pm.we had to change into our evening attires for a wedding in the restaurant bathroom. For the money we paid for one room in this hotel I would expect the stuff to be more understanding and companionable and let us in our room to at least change our clothes after the long drive from Boston before the wedding started. Also, while we were out, someone charged a dinner to our room.

Love the old school vibe of this large hotel with a huge indoor pool facility and outdoor hot tub. Fab with the kids as don’t have to leave the hotel. Just relax.

United States of AmericaDid not like that it was a pet friendly hotel. For those of us that like to sleep at night it was very disturbing to have someone running their dog up and down the hall a good part of the night
Banana’s Foster was an excellent choice on the menu!!!! One of my favorites but very rarely seen on a menu where we come from.

United States of AmericaRooms were needing a refresh in particular the bathrooms. One of our bathrooms drain didn't work and moldings were falling off. Also the AC was not working properly so the room got very cold during the evening. They did seem to fix it once we reported it.

United States of AmericaOur room didn't have a refrigerator which would have been nice to have. Our room was up on the 4th floor and there is only one elevator in the building leading to the 1st floor to get to the lobby. My family and I love playing foosball & ping pong. The game room had a foosball table but NO balls. The ping pong table had one racquet and NO balls. The air hockey table didn't work. That was disappointing. Someone should be there to check those items so the games work for their guests. The room was a bit pricey. I think we ate at the Marsh Tavern. The menu was extremely limited. It only had 3 different types of hamburgers to choose on the menu, no other options but I'd come back again:)
The staff was very friendly. The grounds were beautiful and I loved the atmosphere! The hot tub was great! The room was nice and the beds were very comfortable.

United States of AmericaWhen the inn failed to our inform our group of five no food service would be provided to hotel guests following a Continental breakfast on Thanksgiving Day, one young male staff from the reception tried to find us a reservation at the Ye Olde Tavern. The inn should have informed our group to book the Thanksgiving Brunch and not oversold the event to non hotel guests. We ended up having to go to Shaw’s grocery store and purchasing food for Thanksgiving lunch/dinner.
A work trip to Montpelier with state officials brought us to Vermont. We decided to stay on and chose the historic inn for a five night stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The highlights of the hotel were the lounge with fireplace and the inn’s location.

United States of Americawould have been good to know that the gym was in the spa / out building not accessible through an interior passageway. I found the sauna and steam room in need of updating. Hotel room could use a refresh as well.

United States of AmericaFor the price and based on descriptions, I was expecting much nicer finishes. The rooms were big and the beds comfortable, but the carpets smelled like cigarette smoke and the bathrooms were clean but haven't been updated in a very long time. Based on the website, I was also expecting room service to be available and it was not.
Location is fantastic - love the proximity to hiking trails and all of downtown Manchester. Townhouses have full sized kitchens and nice porches.

United KingdomNo breakfast available. No regular changing of towels and bedding without requesting it (we weren't told this at check in or via the hotel info ... we only found out when we enquired on day 2). Also small things on the property were either faulty or missing e.g. broken bed table lamp, dripping gutters over the main door, noisy air con on next door building, missing cooking utensils (e.g. oven glove, scissors, bread knife). Also, cleaner who emptied our bin on day 2 also removed the food we'd bought for breakfast ... bread, salt, jams ... which we'd left on the kitchen counter! Had to visit shops again!
Location is excellent. Spa and Gym was good and not over-crowded. The bed room was spacious and comfortable with a good view.
