Staff could of been more clear. Difficult when asking directions and they tell you something, like its by the pool. Why would I know where the pool was if I never been there before

The bathroom was handicap friendly. It was difficult to keep the floor dry, and my father is prone to falls. It was difficult to keep it dry after showers

Accessing the room was difficult — a long walk with only one elevator to service the entire resort. At dinner the seared Ahi Tuna had clearly been cooked a day or two before and refrigerated in the meantime. The waiter didn’t dispute my assessment, assured me it wouldn’t happen to anyone else, but didn’t offer a substitute, nor did he remove the item from my bill.

Remarkably quiet, with a great view, a welcoming bar.

We used the sofa bed and it was awful. The bedding was supposed to be in the room but we had to call to have it delivered to our room, not what you would expect for an establishment that is rated so highly.

It was in a convenient location in the middle of the park.

Rooms were very pricey. Meals a bit high. Some minor maintenance needed in tunnel hall and grounds lighting.

Classic property, impressive grounds and landscaping. Amazing pool area. Views were stunning. Loved the observation deck for stargazing. Bar and restaurant were top notch. Fantastic location to see the park.

The price was a bit much for the accommodations and while our room was nice and clean the stairs could use a vacuum. The food also at the Inn was not as good as that at the no name bar at the ranch. We don’t mind paying the price but would prefer better quality food for the price.

Location in the park was excellent and the staff were all superb.

When we checked in we were assigned a room that was already occupied. The clarification then took a very long time. It's sad if you only booked one night.

Water wasn’t very hot. Comes from the hot spring so there is no regulator. Food was below average. I felt I rather go hungry at times. Staff was really nice but seemed the dining staff was getting over worked.

Location, staff and the facilities were really well kept. Hotel is 127 years old but one of the best maintained and well kept. Every staff member is a super star.

Beautiful location in classy and well-maintained historic hotel

The most uncomfortable pillows in my entire trip- so large and inflexible that my neck hurt trying to use them. Single elevator out of service during first day of my stay. A bit of a walk from the parking lot through a tunnel and then up 3 flights to lobby area. It was sometimes difficult to find parking spots- needed to go to adjacent gravel lot. OK, I know it is in the middle of a NP and there is no competition but the food prices at the Inn and the co-owned Ranch seemed incredibly high- I wound up eating at the Ranch buffet one night and buying sandwiches in the shop the second night.

Wonderful location within DVNP and a classy hotel with elegant lobby and seating areas inside and outside, beautifully maintained and lovely grounds with ponds and a stream, very nice stargazing patio next to room on 4th floor. Would definitely stay here again.

No markings for parking or registration. Google map did not take us directly to hotel. We had to hunt for it in the dark. Considering the location, the cost was understandable. Scotty's Castle was closed. There is nothing in Death Valley for us. We will not return.

Accommodations and staff were exceptional. Restaurants had very good food and service.

Breakfast restaurant was terrible, with a capitol T. Bathrooms in the main area, next to the resturant, were filthy. I informed management, but no change during our 3

Dinner restaurant was good, also the only restaurant open. Room, (Casita) was nice, but no daily service.

lack of communication on the part of the staff - they could have warned us beforehand that the checkin can only be done at the ranch and not at the inn (we went to the inn first only to be told by a seemingly bored bellboy that we had to travel back about 1 mile or so to the ranch and check in there before returning to the inn again); restaurant at the ranch is unreasonable expensive for the quality of the food

its location in the middle of the desert is nothing short of a miracle; the pool at the Inn (not the one at the Ranch) is amazing and full of history; the premises look gorgeous
