Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The location is in the heart of a small historic town. The setting of the inn near the river, small shops, and local restaurants is perfect!

United StatesWas unware this small town was mostly closed on Memorial Day. Might have moved our stay earlier by one day.
We like a hotel on the 3rd floor of an od stone mill. Finishes inside were very modern. We arrived off the erie canal trail on Memorial Day. We were really hungry but almost all restaurant were closed and we had no car. Owner was there and said it was OK to snack on what we found in the kitchen. We did. For dinner we purchased ready to go meals at a local grocery store, warmed them up in the kitchen and ate there. Found space in the hallway to park e-bikes and charge them overnight. Rooms and bathrooms were very nice and comfortable. Very quiet area that day to explore.

United StatesIt wasn't really a problem, but it feels strange that most of the time there is no staff member on site. That said, we were greeted in person when we arrived as scheduled. When we come back to Little Falls, I'll do a better job of booking our room so that we can have a king size bed, rather than a queen.
There are not many top-notch options in Little Falls, NY, so I'm so glad that we can stay at the Inn at Stone Mill. Our room was comfortable (and there is an elevator to reach the floor with the rooms) and we had the great nearby options of the Ann Street Restaurant & Deli for breakfast and lunch and the Canal Side Inn Restaurant for drinks and dinner.

United StatesOnly issue is that the walls are pretty thin - you may hear your neighbors - didn't bother us at all but some may have concerns.
Cool old mill building, newly renovated. Close to food and interesting history. Nice rooms and continental breakfast with homemade treats.

United StatesThere was nothing I didn’t like about it.
Little Falls is a fun small town that is on the canal bike trail. The in accommodates bicycles excellently and it has made a great place to stay at an old Mill. It’s decorated with older furniture, which is fun and clean and the colors are great.

CanadaMy room was just okay for the price.
I liked that the property was adjacent to the falls, close to the Erie Canal trail and Main Street. The staff were helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was a bonus. We thought it was interesting that this inn use to be a textile mill.

United KingdomI forgot to request gluten free bread and there was none available. Some gluten free cereal would have been great.
We stayed here as a stop over on our journey from Stratford Ontario to Stowe. It suited us really well. The staff were particularly helpful to us when trying to sort out an issue we had with our phone sim. We would have loved to have had time to explore the area as it looked a lovely place.

United StatesThe shower is strange. You can't turn on the water without dousing yourself in cold water. The shower head is too high to reach for those on the shorter side.

United StatesThis is in a small town! Nothing wrong with the inn but there were not a lot of choices for places to eat. We were there midweek and many places were closed. The soundproof tiles on the ceiling were not aesthetically pleasing to my partner, but I didn't care. One of us didn't like that we were near the freight train tracks, but I thought it added to the mystique of being on the Erie Canal Google Maps got confused by the train tracks near the hotel (you had to go over, not under) but it was actually pretty simple.
The breakfast was basic (assorted breads, sweets, cereals) but just fine. Unlimited beverages all day. Coffee is always available in single pods. We had full access to the kitchen and could wash our dishes - I liked that - it felt like home! The room was clean and basic, with windows that could open fully, a small fridge, an iron and ironing board, a TV, coffee maker. This is an Inn inside a rehabbed factory from the 1800s, if you understand that you will be very happy. We were very happy. :) Communication with staff was excellent. Ample free parking. It is right on the Mohawk River and steps away from the Erie Canal. Walking paths and chairs abound.

CanadaThe soundproofing wasn't great in my room. I heard my neighbour's TV for quite some time late at night.
