How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great family run hotel with extremely nice staff. Our family loved the beautiful pool in the back and the food we ate in the attached restaurant/bar was delicious. The location is very convenient to many attractions. Even though some construction blocked the entrance during one night of our stay, the manager, Cindy, went above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable and happy. We had a great time at the Ocean View!

We absolutely loved the outdoor shower and the direct path to the pool. The room was clean and comfortable.

Nothing I can think of
From road, it looks like 60s motel but the back side is amazing. There are only 7 rooms so it’s very quaint and owners are super friendly. Pool and bar super cute. Can not hear bar from rooms at all! Car traffic is minimal noise and it disappears n the evening. Showers and bathroom very clean! Would love to return to spend more nights

I loved that there were only 7 rooms, all with a private sitting area outside that connected with the pool area and outside bar area. They was also a board walk to the water and rental paddle boards available.

The bathroom door wouldn't close all the way.
Loves the location, the rooms, the back patio. Decorated nicely. Love the pool.

The TV did not work properly. It was old and the picture was small with a buzzing sound in the background
There was no breakfast at the motel. We went to Mangroves Mikes Cafe about 2 miles south of the motel and it was excellent!

This is a sweet little hidden gem!! The motel is directly next to the restaurant, so if you were just driving by, you would not notice it. When going out the back sliding doors of the room, there is an area with stringed lighting and and seating. .Very comfortable and relaxing. The room was clean and had everything needed for a one night stay. I would definitely choose to stay here again for a stopover on my way to Key West.

From the outside it looks like an average motel with the attached bar. However the room itself is cozy, has backyard leading to the pool which feels very private. The property is just on the road, but it did not bother us.

Outdoor patio lights not working, pool lounge chairs are extremely uncomfortable , bar area seemed very dirty especially the area going into the beer taps looked like mold growing on the hoses?
Love the outdoor patio, Steak night was great food in general very good

It’s a little outdated
This place has a restaurant attached to it. The restaurant has great food and drinks. We got a complementary drink when we got there. They manager Cindy is fantastic! The pool was beautiful and we had a patio in the back.

Shower in room was not quite right
The swimming pool was great for a dip on Christmas morning! The sports bar was friendly, the room was decorated in a nice way, good to have own outside area too

Some of the locals at the outside deck were unhappy our kids joined us there at the fire pit. There was only 1 dresser and small closet for the four of us.
The pool was amazing. The food was great as well. The fire pit was a great place to hang at night. There was live music and food specials. A different event each night.

Two things that were a little annoying is there isn't much soundproofing between rooms and it's very light outside our window at night.
We have stayed here before. We like the location and convenience of getting to everything and having the bar/restaurant right there. It's nice having a pool too even though we really don't use it when we stay there.

The people in the room next door talked all night- but not the hotels fault. I wish we had another day to stay and enjoy the pool and amenities.
Great place. We had dinner there the night before and booked for the following night while we were there. William the bartender was super friendly and welcoming. The night we stayed was steak night- AMAZING!

Check in process and "office" was not very clear. Arrived just after 10 pm and didn't really know where to go. From the outside this looks like kind of an old sketchy motel. I thought I might be sleeping in my rental car, but discovered that the bar staff/manager was also the one to check us in and give us keys. Room was old but clean.
Loved the back porch sitting area and pathway to the pool. Attached bar was fun with drinks, food and live music. Room was large with good air conditioning and a microwave and mini fridge.
