Rooms have the basic. Poor insulation - you hear everything from other rooms, zero sound proof from the street. No kettle or coffee machine.

Location - walking distance to Lombard street and Fisherman's wharf. Beds and pillows were ok. Hotel is old style and aged but was cleaned. Parking place.

When we arrived there were clothes in the closet from a previous person staying there. Very thin walls and noisy occupants all night long. Sink was dirty and stopper broken upon arrival. Bedding had a stain on it that looked like blood. Random guy sitting at entry multiple days. Just staring at people. Headboards not attached to beds and bang every time you move. Beds make noise when moving on them like they are made of rubber.

Great location and value. Renovated bathrooms were nice.

No fan in bathroom to remove the moisture - couch was a bit musty. Would be better to place two large chairs in place of sofa to improve air circulation. Also, all three lamps (two bedside, one overhead, which was plugged into a wall receptacle behind the couch) were on the same circuit, so the only way to have just the bedside lamps on was to move the couch and unplug the overhead lamp.

Great location for visiting family living on Russian Hill. Close to lots of good restaurants, cafés, Fisherman’s Wharf, the marina, and public transportation - you can walk everywhere. The place is relatively spartan but is clean, comfortable, and an excellent value.

No exhaust fan in bathroom, somewhat musty smell in the room due to dampness. One switch turned on all the lights in the room, and we had to unplug the overhead light to just have the bedside lamps on. No complaints otherwise.

Located close to Russian Hill and within walking distance of family we were visiting. Access to lots of good restaurants, to Fisherman’s Wharf and the marina, and to public transportation. Simple, clean and comfortable, with roomy bathroom. Room was quiet.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of a lot of attractions, with a bus stop close by for those that are far away. The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. While there is no room service, tea and coffee is available at reception and we were given the menu cards of places that deliver food to the roo..

Shower with very little water and it was cold, which was quickly solved by the staff. Cable TV often and internet often fails. Old furniture and decor. Would not return.

Wow.... I'm not sure if it's just the location or something, it was a GOOD VIBE and Energy and (Everyone) in the surrounding rooms were behaving nicely and very Cool social. It was a very different experience... Fun like.. The gentleman at the desk (Graveyard shift), wow, he was just easy going, like kind and friendly if I had any questions and call the office. And it wasn't phony, nice guy! The cleanliness and feeling of being in a "Clean Place!", Is real. Reasonably priced and Decent place. I'm sure it will be my "Go to" place for a good experience. What ever the reason or why it's different from the other places, Pleeeze keep the energy and cool people. NO TROUBLE MAKERS! Thanks! Rick
