Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndonesiaThe direction of the air flow from the air conditioning , it was directed to the bed. I have to switch it off.

United StatesThe TV did not have a signal for some reason, and the shower had a small lead onto the floor, but both issues were pretty minor. We did not miss not having a TV as the WiFi was excellent.
The staff there was great, very helpful. Always had a greeting for everyone, and the location was close to the Gaslamp Quarter without being too close. There were plenty of places close by for breakfast. We could easily walk to the sites we were there to see, such as the Midway and Seaport Village.

United StatesShower drained slowly and the bathroom tap water pressure was not great.
Great location. We've traveled a lot in the past few years, and I have to say this was the best use of space for a smaller room of anyplace we've been in that time. It felt luxurious even though it was compact. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our corner king room was light and bright. Window treatments were attractive and functional. Bathroom areas were attractive. Room lighting was great.

SwitzerlandThe staff. I felt unwelcomed and everytime I passed the frontdesk they were chatting and laughing and leaning on each others desks. Also while checking in the lady made me feel uncomfortable and she was not giving me a single smile which was weird as I heard her laughing all the other times I passed the front desk. Even when I passed the desk and greeted them good morning they were just looking at me.
The property was located very good especially when travelling by train or plane. The neighbourhood felt safe and everything was clean. Very spacious room as well.

SpainAverage service level and outdated style (true vintage or heritage would have been great). Small room, very noisy aircon at night (woke me up several times, i did not bring earplugs) And... the price (300+$ a night ^^)
Well located, slightly off the Gaslamp area (3 blocks) Clean bathroom and bed linen In-room expresso machine

United StatesThe common areas of the hotel are getting run-down and need a refresher. The neighborhood has suffered greatly over the last few years, and there's almost no retail presence at all in the surrounding blocks. It feels like three-quarters of the storefronts are empty, and there are more beggars than there used to be. The restaurant/bar on the ground floor still shows a "Coming Soon" sign from the last time I stayed, three years ago. I feel like I didn't get the room I paid for ... in retrospect, it didn't feel at all like a Premium room, just a Regular one.
The room I had was in good condition, although the shower drain was slow, even after asking for it to be looked at. The location is just the right distance from the conference center for a 10-15 minute walk, and the pricing was reasonably good.

United StatesFalse advertising about the bed. It was not a queen size; it’s a full. I have a queen size at home. The pillow also sucked. The power plug in the bathroom did not work. There was a hole in the ceiling by the door. The main disappointment was the size of the bed.
The rooms were decent. I liked the ambiance. It was nice that they give you a free bottle of water and there’s a water-filling station to fill your water for free. The shower pressure and temperature was awesome. The front desk lady (I forgot her name) was VERY nice. She was the best part of the hotel.

United StatesRooms are in need of an update. Apparently there are some updated rooms on the upper floors, but I was put on 3rd floor. First room I was given was very dusty--asked for a different room, which was granted (but not significantly cleaner). Keep in mind that many of the rooms face internal "alcoves" meaning that there is zero view and little natural light. On the other hand, when I stayed 10 years ago, I was given a corner room with a good view and lots of light (a bit more traffic noise though). Two days in a row makeup removers were not restocked. Another day, coffee condiments were not restocked. The in-room coffee is Nespresso, which is good--however only light roast pods were provided and Coffee Mate instead of half and half. Grocery store is within walking distance (Ralph's).
Comfy bed, good shower/water pressure, enjoyed eating at the Tendergreens and CAVA restaurants next door for informal, good food. Loved the shampoo/soap/lotion provided.

AustraliaHad trouble with the aircon but the staff were so lovely and upgraded our room for our stay. Not a lot of room for luggage so we had to unpack all our stuff, lighting was a little dark especially walking through the hallways, no netflix or anything on tv.
Staff were so helpful and friendly, the rooms were well done and good for what you needed, bathroom was good size, good storage, nespresso coffee machine was ELITE.
