Renovations were going on at the time which we did not know about until we arrived so some facilities closed. The lobby was freezing! One needed over coats to just stand in line at the reception desk or order from the self serve cafeteria, which was not my fave place.

Location was great near Union Square, shopping, theatres, Modern Art gallery, lots of restaurants etc. The staff were very helpful, particularly the valet parking, luggage and concierge. Nostalgic and a fabulous view from our room plus super elevator ride in the new tower.

Bathroom very small!! People cleaning room did not take coffee filters out of coffee pot( people put them in water section). There were 3 in water area. Need instructions so people how to use it

Construction was a bother. Seats in clock bar very uncomfortable. $40 for an Oban 14 Scotch was RIDICULOUS.

We had the best check in experience with Fazal. There’s a guy who’s going places. Promote him ! Great room, loved the elevator, comfortable bed. All the staff were terrific.

The bill was confusing after our stay from Westin. There were terms that were unclear and I wasn't sure what I was charged for. After dropping them emails and reading up about Marriot bills, I figured this is the case for all Marriot hotels. I wasn't charged anything different from what I was promised but the terms in the receipt were confusing. For a three day stay I was charged parking pf $75 everyday which I thought was ridiculous! Please know that San Francisco hotels charge something called a "Destination fee". This is a good to know information before you book hotels here. Surprisingly hotels in Vegas don't charge this but SFO does!

It was a great hotel location wise especially in the holiday season.

Overall, I was happy with the facility, the lighting was a bit dim, and most floors were carpet which I felt needed a refresher. The property is in an area surrounded by several homeless people which at times felt a bit unsafe. There would also be bouts of loud music around the property in the middle of the night which would disrupt my sleep for a few minutes. Otherwise, it was an okay stay!

I was charged twice so I had to deal with that one morning when you don't really want to handle that on a vacation. The first lady I spoke to said I wasn't charged twice but when I showed her my credit card statement she got her manager and then something was actually done about it. Added some stress to my stay.

I didn’t like the constant smell of cannabis (not inside the hotel) near the entrance to the hotel or in the streets. I know this is nothing to do with the hotel.

We love the location! It’s the best. We love the Clock Tower Bar and Champagne pop up. We also enjoy the spacious rooms and very comfortable pillows and bed.

Only two things. The heater fan ran all night without control, and the breakfast buffet was a 5 at best. All selections were served cold.

Double charged. Booked through booking.com but hotel stated they never received the payment. Had to pay again. Still in dispute with them about a refund. Just be cautious.

Big, spacious room. Windows looking out to Union Square opened slightly so we could hear the noise below.
