Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomA little hard to find the shuttle bus and I tried to email and contact multiple times via booking .com. And they obviously don't check their messages as could not contact without calling them locally. Which is v expensive when you are calling from a British phone in Houston airport! I tried two weeks before I travelled to get hold of them via email and nothing. Be warned!
Great staff and huge room with comfy bed. A little dated and clearly well used, but very clean and comfortable with everything you could need. When I eventually found the shuttle it was smooth sailing and a great service.

United StatesI requested a hotel shuttle.. none showed up. I asked the manager why and he replied. "They're trying something different. I replied "like making your guest's find their way?" It cost 20 dollars by taxi. so, the savings I'd hoped for did not. I will likely choose another hotel on my next trip. It was not the cost that bothered me.. it was the waiting for 45 minutes before I made my own way. Should remove "airport shuttle provided" from the website.
It's a good clean place to stay.

United StatesI purchased laundry detergent for whatever that cost was, then tried to use the washing machine. The card system would not accept either of my cards, and the single coin op machine was out of order. So, I had to dispose of an article of clothing as it was soaked in the liquid detergent as I could not pack it with my other dry clothing for my departure that day. Other than that it was a pleasant stay and the location was peaceful and quiet. I've been a long time customer of Marriott and now a Titanium Elite member, so I will likely always choose Marriott Bonvoy for my travels whenever possible.
Breakfast was very good. The room was quiet and comfortable. Good entertainment TV.

AustraliaThe hotel is hardly seen, specially at night; it does not have a proper entrance and visible name. It looks like a back exit. There is no restaurant available nor are there any walking distance restaurants. The person on the front desk recommended Uber Eats and it turned out that they don’t deliver to the hotel, I got my orders cancelled, reassigned and cancelled again. Breakfast is limited to eggs and sausage, bagels, muffins and yoghurt.
Good location, close to the airport. Large room, clean with good features.

United KingdomThe air conditioning unit in room was so hard to control. It was really noisy. So when watching the TV we had to up the volume. Then the people above us was banging the floor. We turned the unit off at night as too noisey.. then the fridge was also incredibly noisey.. So we didn’t get much sleep as too hot in the room. We couldn’t win.
The Staff were excellent. The evening receptionist was really helpful. She was fabulous thank you.
