The beds and pillows were a little too soft for our group.

The staff honored our request to check in late, and we were an hour later than expected, but no issues with check-in at all. The hotel is about a block from the boardwalk, which was perfect. The AC unit was new and had options to cycle on and off or be on overnight - something we hoped was the case.

it was close to the beach

The room was very clean however the common grounds and stairways was dirty with trash on the ground and under the table on the second level for a few days; indicating to me that it was not swept or cleaned.

I dont like the beds very uncomfortable, small room specially for a family of 5 ... the pool is not very clean specially the whole side of the pool is very dirty

The beds are harder than I would like and the bathroom was not clean. It had hair everywhere on the floor. Breakfast is included but it was cold cereals and toast, bananas. I would have loved to see scrambled eggs or a pancake mix.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The boardwalk is a short distance away and the pool at the facility is warm which is a plus. Having a balcony was another perfect touch.

the parking situation- you have to leave your keys with front desk staff depending on where you park so they can move your vehicle

the floors looked renovated so it didn’t have that ugly motel look, and the wall paint was neutral. bathroom wasn’t bad & had a new window. good for short 1-3 day stays

Theres no elevator at Tropicana and the walkways are a little slim. if you're handicapped it may not be for you. It is cozy though and seems well kept. No vent fan in my bathroom but the window opened. No biggie. I paid to upgrade to get a balcony, etc... only to have a corner room (18) which faces a wall and storage closet. Which ultimately i didn't care about because it was nice being tucked away. But if you wanted to sit outside you're gonna be in your neighbors front window. Kinda weird.

Great location regarding boardwalk and beach access. Boardwalk bathroom at the end of youngs Avenue. Pier rides help you remember where to head home when streets are busy and you're tired.

Parking was a nightmare. They did give me a pass for the meter, since it was the only spot I could find.

Air conditioner didnt seem to work in our room. I had to mess with it in the middle of the night. They only gave us two towels for two nights. The pool had a bunch of loud kids in it so my teenagers avoided it (not a hotel problem, more a parenting issue). Parking is tight, if you have a large vehicle this may not be the best spot for ya. Rooms were also small.

Room was clean and the location is great! We were barely in the room except to sleep and shower so location mattered more than anything.

First off i know you pay for location but I booked this ONE night a month in advance (I know that’s pretty late to book but) i still paid 500 DOLLARS! For one night! After the stay I can tell you it is NOT WORTH more than like 200 a night- The front desk staff was rude, I wasn’t even giving an attitude but they still just seemed bothered that I was simply trying to check in. Parking is annoying- they dont seem to have enough spots for all the people staying there. The room was actually very clean aside from finding a few long black hairs on the pillows (assuming it’s was woman who cleaned the room, no big deal) but the bed didn’t have an actual comforter, they just had a thin blanket and a top sheet, and though the room was clean the blanket looked a little eh so my girlfriend and I slept with just the top sheet since we didn’t feel comfortable using the blanket. Lastly the bathrooms are clean but insanely out dated.

Location was a very short walk to the boardwalk, like literally a minute away, huge plus- also the fact that they had a mini fridge / microwave was super convenient.

The room we stayed in was not the picture on the website. I specifically chose the updated room but didn't get it. There was only a small fridge and microwave. The cost was astronomical for the room. The management expected us to leave our car keys with them so they can move our car because the cars are parked all around each other, blocked in a small area.

The room and bathroom were very clean, and the location was excellent.
