Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesSpace in room was extremely tight. No facial tissue provided. Bed was soft and old. No light in shower without turning on a very loud fan. Door to toilet and shower greatly oversized making movement within the room difficult
It was a good location for my visit. It had a secure garage

United StatesThe parking lot was very tight. If there’s a full house and you don’t drive a fiat or mini cooper you will 99% have a bad time trying to park.
It was a quaint little complex in the heart of Hillcrest. It’s central to EVERYTHING in downtown San Diego.

United KingdomStay in my room was great, it was all I needed and I would stay here again in a heartbeat but In order to improve, perhaps a deep clean of the kitchen and laundry room
The room was well appointed, clean and well designed, the floors were wooden, headboard wooden, easy to clean. AC worked well and parking was relatively cheap

United StatesWas sort of expecting a studio. It was actually just a fairly small room with a small fridge no microwave. There was a kitchen on the floor for the use of all the rooms which was handy. The location was good for Hillcrest. There was a Trader Joe’s and supermarket nearby so you could buy food. The room was comfortable enough for one person. There was a nice Nespresso machine in the kitchen, but it only seemed to work part of the time. I think there was an issue with the outlet one negative thing is the whole floors were noticeably dirty. I think it was because of the construction going on downstairs

United StatesProperty itself seems a little run down and our room floor was not completely clean with hair and dirt. Key card had an issue, but luckily the front desk resolved it quickly. I can see this being an issue though due to it being a limited-service hotel because if we weren’t back before the desk closed we wouldn’t be able to get back into our room. The shower floor is also smooth with no mat or texture so it was extremely slippery. Communication with the front desk and cleaning staff needs to be improved as well.
Property was in a good area with a lot of food options, bars, and a grocery store.

United StatesThe room had a weird kind of musty smell and while everything in the room was fairly clean and updated, the building was old and a bit dingy and it feels like in a couple years once the beds have been slept in more things won’t feel as nice. The door to my room also needed a good tug when I left to fully close/lock. It also felt a bit humid in my room. While I had control of the AC which was very nice, it felt like it needed a dehumidifier to feel totally clean. Also the rooms are TINY. I knew they would be but I was surprised at truly just how small it was in person. Fine for my purposes but something to keep in mind.
Everything was new and generally clean. It was just the basics but that’s all you need. The TV allowed you to log into your streaming accounts and then automatically logged you out upon check out. There were dishes and a mini fridge and the bathroom was updated and clean. The pillows were so comfy I took a picture of the tag so I can buy my own. Lots of plugs including outlets with built in usb and usbc ports. Staff was friendly. Parking was easy and felt secure. Vending machines and drinking water in the lobby.

United StatesBooked the freeway noise hotel. They were correct that it is loud, but they provided earplugs. Seems worth it to pay a bit more to be away from freeway side. If they update the AC, there may be possibility for quieter rooms. Also, no shelf in the shower was a bit awkward because you had to put shampoo and soap bottles on the floor which is not ideal.
The staff was nice and super accommodating, the room was very clean, everything seemed updated. Felt safe due to gate. Hotel offered mechanism to book parking which was convenient and felt very secure. Lots of great food options within a 3 minute walk like a ramen spot, Better Buzz coffee, and a Whole Foods.

United StatesWhat didn't I like! For some strange reason I read where it said parking was free from one or two people comments. That was a lie. Parking was $25 a night on property ( I didn't have a problem paying). I wish they had welcome water bottles in the refrigerator upon arrival. An ironing board and iron would have also been nice inside of the room but I was able to get an iron at the front desk. Overall my stay was great and I would definitely stay here again.
I liked that the room was cleaned, he neighborhood was quiet even though I was close to the freeway- the noise didn't affect me. The water pressure in the shower was heavy and the WIFI was fast .

United StatesThe location is good. Close to the airport. I wish they'd use cleaners with no scent. The room had a very strong scent when I entered. I had to open the windows and turn the fans on full blast to try to lessen the smell. Some people like me could have an asthmatic attack with any strong scent.

ItalyToo noisy rooms (freeway side) due to an orrible installation of the air conditioner on the window. I really don't know why they had a soundproofed windows if the had ruined all of that with the air conditioner.
Clean rooms and good staff.
