The carpet was very dirty, the furniture is old, the room has an unpleasant smell. There aren't enough places to park inside, I had to park on the street.

the location is good, it's a quiet place, the staff is friendly, the check in and check out is very fast.

The wine glass behind the bed. It wasn't mine. Other items I couldn't reach behind the bed. Someone's not cleaning much. The water temp changed the second day in the shower to scalding. Couldn't get the temp lower. Later on, temp was tepid and couldn't get it to warm up. Fan inside bathroom is caked on with an inch of dirt and grime. Needs to be cleaned badly.

I think this room has been remodeled since the last time I stayed in it 2 yrs ago and the tile around the tub is phenomenal. Love the full kitchen and large shower as well.

I added to my stay time, but they raised the nightly price and did not assist with a senior citizen discount when asked. Poor customer retention idea.

King room had been remodeled in kitchen and bathroom, nicely. Whereas, double queen room I had previously had not been remodeled and was in some disrepair.

big bumps in exit driveway, room not maintained in great condition, TV difficult to use/and not many channels available. Kitchen needs utensils.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Good-size kitchen. Cleanliness was fair.

Tge fact that the person at front desk would only take a cash deposit,and gave me a hard time about the credit card that was used to pay for room was in my fiances name but reservation was in mine and he was not there at time if check in so he wasn't going to give me my key this was all after I had been there once and made to go get cash off the card which made deposit shortvso I had to recome up with that money cause he would take anything under 100.00 for deposit..and kept telling me that me using my old man's card was fraudulent cause he wasn't there..Really?well if I had my own card I wouldn't have used his and if he was going to be able to get there at check in I would have just put it in his name. Come on really...so thank God the owner of the hotel was ALOT more understanding and allowed me to get my key without my dude having to get there but when he arrived he had to make sure he showed his id before coming to my room or I loose my deposit..I don't think the owner is the one who was so worried about that again that came from the employee..but I get it it's his job if charges are denied on card..no hard feelings..good place to stay but they could ease up on the absolutely no guest or u get kicked out without refund thing..I mean people have kids and family and if there visiting without a car sometimes it's easier for them to come to us..not like they would stay the entire time..maybe put a time limit and how many guest at a time or a day are allowed..or maybe charge 5.00 per guest and they can visit a total of 8hrs entire day..lol Just a friendly suggestion.

The parking lot is very tight, middle stairs could definitely use some work.

I'm trying hard to think of something, but for the price it was completely satisfactory. Many of the rooms had a jacuzzi and ours had a nice tub instead but with over 400 square feet, who cares. They have a $100 refundable security deposit, but they did not require it when we checked in.

The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Our room overlooked a plant nursery and the kitchen was exceptional and had its own eating area. It is a motel with the lowest price, but easily compared to more expensive places. It was near downtown, near shopping and near the ocean. For a humble motel it was a delightful surprise.

Entire bed and bedding smelt like cigarettes. I had a hard time sleeping and putting my face near the pillows. I had to use towels to lessen the smell enough to sleep. Spaces like that make a place and bedding feel unhygienic. I won’t be coming back.

Could not figure out how to turn on the TV with the remote. We didn't try any buttons on the actual TV. Did not bother to contact the staff as we were super tired anyway and went to bed early. No mirror in the bathroom, but there was one on the dresser. Only huge problem was there no lighting near the mirror, so it was dark and hard to see when putting on make up and contacts. Not a deal breaker, but would be nice to have some kind of lighting near the mirror/ dresser.

Nice and affordable place to stay, felt homey (referring to style of furniture, exterior of building and with a kitchen included with our room!). Everything was fairly new, clean and comfortable. Loved that a kitchen was included and we were able to cook dinner and breakfast to save money on eating out. Kitchen was nice with a full fridge, oven, stove, coffee maker and toaster—also silverware and dishware were included. Only thing you needed to bring were pots and pans. Close to a grocery store (VONS), downtown Ventura and the beach. Bathrooms were remodeled and exceptionally clean. Loved that we got a Cal King, when I was expecting just a King size bed (or that's what it said when I booked a room). Friendly cleaning maids; we said hello to them on our way out. Also, it's nice that check out time is at 11 am.

Furniture seemed a little 'beat up' and out of place. Also some walls were a little marked from wear n tear.

Hard to get TV remote to work properly but finally we figured it out. Office always locked-had to ring bell.

Police pulled up in the morning, that was disconcerting.

Room had a very strong smell of cleaning solutions. the fridge was pretty nasty looking. Time to upgrade that. Could not open closet.

Lighting was semi - functional. Dimmmers didn't work, so too bright or not at all. Main overhead light out. A couple of door and drawer knobs missing.

Very genial welcome, interesting room - big kitchen, satisfactory bath - windows were open and only slightly musty. The furnishings were worn, but comfortable. Some lights didn't work, but overall a decent place. A few loud neighbors, but that is not the hotel's fault.
