Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The staff was top notch, and the location is great if you wanna walk around and sight see.

United States of AmericaThe rooms have a bit of a musty smell. The bathrooms are a little dated for the price paid. The rest of the hotel is nice but is pricey compared with other hotels in the same condition.
There is a rooftop bar that looks over Newport Very beautiful.

Breakfast was delicious, the elevator broke down while we were there. I had remembered the hotel being better the last few times I stayed there.

United States of AmericaFront door staff didn’t help us get luggage inside, carried suitcase to top of steps and dropped them? Why not roll them into front desk with us? Market area needs more staff. Stood in line for 15 minutes for a cup of coffee. Not enough towels in the bathroom.
Room was clean. Location was convenient. Front desk staff was very friendly.

United States of AmericaThe hallway to our room in the basement (Level 1) felt uninviting. Looked out into parked cars. The light in bathroom was attached to a loud fan. Air conditioner didn’t work and was not addressed until last day. Cleaning staff had been in there and didn’t pick up on the fact the room was muggy and AC constantly on. Front desk staff seemed put out to help with anything other than checking in.
Room was spacious. Location was in the center of town.

United States of AmericaThe bathrooms are very small, and very hard to brush your teeth in due to the sink and mirror being so close together. Also, for a hotel without its own parking, the valet service should be INCLUDED. :(
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and the hotel is great walking distance to downtown. The rooftop bar has a great view and live music, and the rooms were so comfortable! Netflix is on the TV which was great for coming back to at night.

United States of AmericaThe parking fee is a bit high ($40 per night) knowing that there is free on street parking around the corner. The rooms are older and could use some upgrading, but overall it is a very nice hotel with a great staff.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for touring the waterfront or the mansions. Great restaurants in walking distance and a very nice roof bar at the hotel.

United States of Americathe room was extremely small, bathroom was right In front of the bed witch super awkward. The bathroom sink was the size of a water fountain you’d find on a playground, absolutely no space to put toiletries. $1200 fir a two night stay with that amount of space was not worth it.
the roof deck was really nice and so was the staff.

United States of AmericaThis hotel was much bigger than I thought. A lot of hallways to navigate to get to ones room. The quality of the hotels construction doesn't match the price of the room. The rooms mechanics are noisy.
The location and the colonial style feel of the hotel. The family activities set-up pool side were charming. The valet and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.
