Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe beds were small. We booked a room with 2 double beds for 2 adults and 1 child. My wife and I are both average to thin build, and near average height, and we could not comfortably share a bed. At 5‘11“, my feet were hanging off the end. We got the room we booked, so no false advertising or bait and switch. I think we saw double room and were expecting 2 queens, because this configuration is pretty standard in hotels these days. Just pay attention when booking if you’re large or tall.
Fantastic location. So many great places to eat nearby, at reasonable prices. Easy walk to the Metro. We were there for sightseeing, and this was a perfect spot. Hotel is nice, the breakfast was very good. Quiet despite the location in a fairly busy area. The staff were excellent, and helped us with directions and dinner recommendations. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The room was very clean and the staff was very nice. The helped with explaining how to use the metro and we were able to travel to all of our destinations on the metro.

United States of AmericaThere is no fridge in each room, HOWEVER it was easily requested and brought promptly to the room. Overall, not a big deal. Something to keep in mind.
Wonderful location near Dupont Circle. Excellent access to the metro (2 minute walk/just around the corner). Did not require a car to get around DC, which is a plus. Clean rooms, great staff. Enjoyed my stay. My room had a great view of the street (instead of another side of the hotel), which was wonderful. Would book again. Thank you.

Czech RepublicCheck-in experience was "rough". First the elevator was not working (to enter you need to walk up stairs which is difficult with bags and stroller). We requested room with baby crib during booking, which was confirmed. Then, through mariott bonvoy app, on day of our arrival, we contacted front desk to make sure the room is ready for us including the crib and we also did online checkin and requested mobile key as our flight was delayed and we knew we needed to put our baby to sleep. We didn't get any response. When we arrived, the crib was not ready. They also charged our credit card twice as a security. Machine showed PIN OK and then "Approved", receptionist said that it certainly didn't go through and that due error we need to try again. It was charged twice which I showed to receptionist. She apologised and called a manager to correct and refund. Unfortunately, manager, instead of apologising and acknowledging the mistake (which would be ok), tried to persuade us that it was not a mistake and that the 1st security was for 1st night and 2nd is for 2nd night. This made no sense - we stayed more than two nights and I cannot imagine staying for example for 14 nights and charging 14 times. Of course, the charge made by mistake was released few days later (the original, correct one is still on hold, in line with expectations and best practice in similar hotels). We also struggled with breakfast - we booked room rate with breakfast - again at first they said we didn't, we showed proof we did and then we got 2 vouchers instead of 3 (we were 2 adults 1 child). The voucher said any 3 items from menu so we were assured we will have no issues. However, on breakfast they told us it's limited to one meal per voucher. In the end we got 3 meals for free but we would prefer not to have argue every morning. Honestly, probably if we would travel in two, above mentioned issues wouldn't happen and we could give one extra point.
Both common areas and rooms are nicely designed. The breakfast were tasty and staff mostly tried their best. Very nice touch was to get "bedside" reading book - you can actually take it with you if you were not able to finish reading during your stay - really appreciated! Downstairs you find nice playroom (for adults, not children) and gym, on the rooftop nice bar and pool. Vibe of the hotel is very nice.

United States of AmericaThere were no towels in my room when I arrived. The pillows are very soft & mushy , don’t do much to provide support to the head and neck. Entering the hotel from the street is a very large stairway . It’s difficult to navigate with luggage . There was help maybe half the time.
The location is a block from my daughters place , very convenient. The hotel is very clean and uncluttered. The staff was friendly , polite and helpful -

United States of AmericaI have been a guest at 4th of July multiple times. This year they outsourced the rooftop party and never informed us that extra cost and tickets were needed. This ruined our experience. The pool was dirty. We had to see fireworks from area with no breeze and older furniture. A/c didn’t work well in room. Bed too soft.

United States of AmericaI did not like cleanliness of the playroom on L2. It was dirty and while we enjoyed the scrabble, the Atari game was broken. The only other games you could play on a rainy day was table tennis or foosball.
We enjoyed the rooftop pool, that was a nice differentiator between other hotels in the neighborhood. Location was very convenient, close to the Metro station and attractions could be in a walkable range. Gym was well equipped.

United States of AmericaThere was hair from the previous visitor on the bathroom floor, which makes me think that they could have done a better job cleaning before the next visitor arrives. And the bathroom towels smelled a little weird, they were clean though. In addition, the curtains were old and ripped, they should definitely change them for some new ones.
The location is amazing, one of my favorite neighborhoods in DC. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great coffee in the downstairs cafe. Comfortable bed.
