Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Wells/Moody is my hometown and my fiance and I were visiting from Montpelier Vermont. We needed an affordable overnight stay in that area and this place was perfect!

There was nothing that we did not like. We were very satisfied.
Very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Also having a microwave and mini fridge was an asset. The owner was very pleasant. This was our third time here. We will definitely be returning in the future.

No complaints about the property
Great price, rooms were extremely clean. Room was updated and bed was comfortable. Microwave and fridge were a great bonus. Check in was also great, friendly front desk made for an easy experience upon arrival.

The room was very clean. All the bedding and toiletries were available and we did not have to bring our own. The location of the motel was right on RT 1. Restaurants are around the area. Good food and a very good time.

There were no issues.
The location is very close to beaches, restaurants and shops. The room is very clean and the bed comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

The only thing of note was the traffic noise if you get a room at the front of the property.
The property was in a good location with restaurants nearby. I was clean and comfortable and the staff manning the office were helpful.

We knew going into a motel, that it would be small. There was not alot of space. We had a king. There was only 1 side table, which was a little inconvenient. The wall isnt sound-proof. (Older building) We felt we had to keep our noise to a minimum in the evening and morning as to not disrupt our neighbor. We had a little duplex, so we didnt hear doors shutting all night, which is a huge plus!
We liked the convenience to travel to other areas. We dont just stay in one town ever, we like to look around the whole area. The room was clean. Bed comfortable. Shower adequate. We did have a larger frig than most motels which was a plus. Freezer separate from frig. We brought our breakfast and heated it in the microwave. Very convenient to have a table and chairs to drink our coffee and eat breakfast. (Dunkin just a couple minutes down the street) Our front covered porch had chairs to sit outside on a nice on a warm day. There is a small pool, but due to the time of year, was closed. Front staff was very friendly upon entering. We had A/C and Heat. We did use the heat, since it was chilly in the evening and morning.One Big Plus for us, which you dont normally get in hotel rooms- we were able to open the windows to get fresh air. So nice!! We noticed a ton of knockout roses ready to be planted. It would be nice to see them in bloom next year. All in all, it was a nice reasonable motel.

We were downstairs and could hear the upstairs room flushing the toilet.
Very clean, pleasant staff, everything worked, check in and out was easy, it is near everything in Wells and Ogunquit.
