Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI'm sorry to go on about this but there is a "passive aggressive" attitude towards tipping in most U.S. restaurants. Tipping has gone from a nice gesture by customers to staff hovering over you with a piece of paper "suggesting" you tip them 20,22, or 25%, and if you don't you get obvious disappointment. I am considered generous in the U.K. because I always tip good service10%; most people don't tip at all. But in the U.S. I up treated like a lepur when I do this. This restaurant was as guilty as many others. We met an Australian gentleman who was particularly angered by this. Perhaps American employers should pay their staff properly like they do in Europe and Australia. Otherwise this is a terrific place to stay; top notch!
Lovely room, clean, good bar and restaurant. Location.

United States of AmericaThey make full use of the "everything is more expensive at a national park" excuse. You pay absolute premium prices for a mediocre hotel - nothing bad, but also no frills at all. Amenities were OK but not in great shape. As everybody else mentions, $10 for wifi per day. It's the 21st century, really?
Basically exactly as advertised: as close to the park as you can be without actually being in the park. On site restaurant is really nice!

United States of AmericaIt’s a short drive into the park which isn’t a negative feature as staying in the park can be very crowded. Very limited number of restaurants nearby.
Rooms were very clean, quiet location next to river, small but functional kitchenette for simple cooking and a small ‘store’ for essential foods and drinks. The restaurant was ok with good service though the pizza place wasn’t open at the time. There are several swimming pools and hot tubs too.

United States of AmericaThe buffet breakfast at The River restaurant was a joke. Food just slightly better than "OK", and HORRIBLY OVERPRICED. Over $50 for two, and my wife just had a glass of OJ and a bite or two of not-very-good-eggs.
It's all about the location: park boundary just a short drive away. Still, that is a long drive to get into the Valley, but oh well. We chose it primarily because it was dog-friendly, which none of the lodging in the Valley supported. There was a per-day pet charge, but that was expected.

United States of AmericaThe only thing uncomfortable about this was the bed, but with that said, every Lodge and hotel I stayed at this trip had uncomfortable beds, I wish hotels in general would do something about the spring mattresses.
The location was Prime! we had a room with a patio right off Merced River, and for an older Lodge they've kept it very well maintained.

United KingdomI am really disappointed with the customer service. On arrival we were given another room than the one we booked, they said this was because of 'maintenance'. Although the room was allegedly bigger than the original, the configuration of beds was all wrong as we were travelling with our 22 year old son and would have liked some privacy for him. In the end he had to sleep on a sofa bed for the whole time. When we checked in we were told we would be given a discount for this and to ask when we checked out. On checkout the staff knew nothing about this and I have chased several times, including to an individual email address I was given by the desk staff and not a single response.
The location of Yosemite Lodge is excellent, the closest you can get to the National Park without being in it. Wifi was disappointing as you had to pay 10 dollars to connect two devices each day and the service still wasn't great. But you don't go to the area for wifi to be honest!

United States of AmericaGym heat was not on and I had to plug it in daily and the room started off at around 50 degrees each morning, kitchenette was dated in the room, and the restaurant was overpriced for the food quality. Laundry on had cold water as the hot was not working. Firepits outside the gym did not function.
Room location (3322), store on site was great, gym heat was not turned on, fireplace did not work, but functional overall. Restaurant location is great but the food was over priced and underwhelming - see the June Bug Cafe for great restaurant meals. Laundry facility on site is great

SingaporeThe water pressure and heater in the shower could have been better. It was alright the first day, but it got weaker as time progressed.
The room was very spacious and had a great view overlooking the river. We made use of the kitchenette lots which was a great bonus as we packed food for our hikes. The location was also amazing and even though it's not within the valley, the short drive in was beautiful in itself (and much more affordable than what was in the valley)

United States of AmericaPaid Extra for Wifi - while it does not break the bank, I think this is annoying and should by now be a fairly std option and not an additional charged item; There were no Breakfast options - even a basic set up would be more convenient.
We had booked 2 rooms and got a connected set up which was great. The property itself is large - though we didn't use the Pool or the Hot Tub - definitely make the stay enjoyable. We did use the Firepit in the evening which was pleasant. Location was terrific !

United KingdomBe warned - Wifi isn’t included and is $10 per day for 2 devices. We had patchy signal but there is full 5G signal at the visitor centre at Yosemite so just go prepared and you can live without it for a few hours! We did have a fire alarm go off at about 9pm which reminded us of being in halls of residence at uni - we just got in the car until the alarm stopped! We didn’t use the pool as crowded with kids!
Great location for Yosemite - 2 miles from the entrance to the park and benefits from being next to the creek so the sound of water falls continues to your room. The shop onsite is reasonably priced as well. Heated pool inside and a couple of Jacuzzis. We went prepared with a shop from a local store so cooking dinner and prepping lunch was fine!

United States of AmericaOne of the reasons we booked here is because they stated that they had a game room. We have kids and thought this would be a great amenity. The downside was that most of the games were not in service for the kids, just the pool tables for adults and corn hole for the kids were available.
The location was nice, the property was beautiful. The pool was nice for the kids.
