Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyNo free coffee which I don’t understand since it’s a Selina coworking … The bathroom are old and not very clean. The pool is nice but also not very well maintained. The kitchen is nice, a bit rusty but nice.
Staff was amazing. Victor helped me so much with everything, the position is good.

GermanyThis Selina has a lot of different guests, famillies with kids and doggos, group of young people, solo travellers, long term co-living people, short stay remote workers... While it sounds really cool, to have such a diversity of people coming together... unfortunately the result is more, that you barley get in touch with anyone. Maybe this is a Selina thing. Its my third time at a Selina, the first time at a Selina in Soutamerica and all the three times it was the same for me: I didn't get in touch or get to know anyone. But I am quite a social person and at other Hotels, I get in touch with other travelers, cooking together, making friendsship etc. But, on the other hand: For people who don't want to deal with other people, but rather stay on their own, this is a place for them. After three times Saline, I 'll really consider if I 'll ever do it again, unless it would only be for a day - or - in case I really need a place to work - for that, its very good. Last but not least: While this hostel offers a lot of different rooms and areas, and everything is clean, it is still... a lot of tiny things are broken or breaking. Its all very minor details, but it sums up. So eg the roller blind at my dorm bed crashed when I 've used it the first time. The doors in the public common areas oftetn lack toilet paper and the doors really slam/close badly. And if you are tall (more than 1,80) you most likely will "crash" into a lot of objects with your head. But maybe... thats a local thing.
I like that you have several places to hang around in the hostel itself. At the pool in or outside, at the common shared rooms, there is small library room, a room to watch movies etc. Also, the location, at the peninsular, is nice and quite, when you walk the streets, you 'll always see the sea at some point and its interesting to look at the different architectural styles of the small houses there. Bonus: The harbour is in walking distance, with restaurants, fresh fish stores right in the harbor AND : Sea lions! There are always a bunch of sea lions hanging around in the harbour, waiting to get some fish from the fisherman and this is really fun to observe - those guys/girls rule, they are really cool (and those are soutamerican sea lions, so you won't see them everywhere). Btw. there is also an island, you can take short trips to it and watch even more sea lions (lobos) there and even swim with them.

United KingdomI think a lot of guests consider it a hotel rather than a hostel, so it’s very difficult to meet people who are actually travelling for a long period and want to talk to other guests. Maybe an event to bring people who want to socialise together would be good.
Friendly & welcoming staff, comfortable room, good location. It was great to have a pool for a morning or evening swim. The kitchen seemed well stocked with equipment.

United KingdomBathrooms could do with a bit of an update, compared to the rest of the property but they were fine. My USB plug didn’t seem to work but the other part for the actual plug did, so I was able to still charge my phone.
Great location, lovely staff and spacious rooms. The property has a nicely designed interior and is very welcoming. The beds (in the shared rooms) have a light, small shelf, plug and a cupboard with a door which was a nice touch. The beds are comfortable and they have a pull down privacy screen too. Very happy with my stay here.

BrazilThe bathroom was a little too small and the shower did not have as much pressure, but nothing that would keep us from coming back.
The location is excellent and the amenities are all great. The pool is fantastic, there's a cinema room with all the streaming services for you to watch movies and TV shows, and also a cute reading room. The kitchen is beautiful (even the microwaves were cute!) and always clean. The room, the bed and the sheets were great. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

CanadaThe bathroom was very small, and although breakfast was advertised at 7:00 AM on the app, they really only started at 8:00 AM, which resulted in us missing it the last day due to an early bus.
The hostel is well run and the rooms quite spacious. The hostel organizes a number of activities, and although we had other plans, many of them look like they would have been great.

CanadaHad some food stolen. Not their fault but a camera should be in every kitchen to deter and catch the people who these sort of things. Restaurant is only open until 3pm. May be due to the low season but it lacked social events to interact with others. Also comes with the bar/restaurant being closed before most people have checked in.
Beautiful property. Indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, and hot tub. Big well stocked kitchen for use. Friendly staff. Always hot showers with good pressure.
