The room itself was clean and functional but not particularly modern or especially comfortable. However, Punta del Este isn’t a place that you travel to in order to spend a lot of time in a hotel room! I’d stay here again even though the rooms are rather basic.

The location is fantastic, especially if you’re arriving by bus (because you can walk from the terminal to the hotel with ease). It’s less than a 5-min walk to the great beaches on either side of the peninsula. The common areas and particularly the deck out front are well-designed and comfortable. Finally, the guys who serve breakfast are very friendly and courteous. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, and I’d recommend it.

-The cleanliness was good in general, but could have been a bit deeper cleaned. -The rooms could use a slight refresh/update. -Addition of a hairdryer and a few more hangers would be useful. -These were minor things that didn’t affect our stay but could serve to improve the hotel long term. Nothing else!

+Lovely and friendly staff throughout the hotel. We booked last minute after a hotel went wrong, and they happily welcomed us. Nothing was too much trouble for them. +The free breakfast was fantastic. Lots of variety, good tea and coffee, different breads, fruit and more. +Brilliant location of hotel, just a few minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes into town. But it is quiet and peaceful. +Rooms were basic but very comfortable with a great bed and mattress. Showers were also hot and with ok pressure. +WiFi was good, and staff have chairs and parasols to lend you for the beach.

- I had to change rooms because in the first one I was assigned, the WiFi signal was too weak to hold my work video calls — I couldn’t use my video and even the audio kept cutting out (though thankfully the staff was very kind and accommodating to get me a new room!) - The shower was very small/tight (and I’m a fairly small person)

- Good location, walkable to the beach and main peninsula of Punta del Este - Found easy street parking right out front, though it is nice that reserved parking is included with your stay - Clean, comfortable room and bed - Kind and accommodating staff - Nice breakfast - It was great having a mini fridge to store items bought outside

The staff were amazing, particularly the male attendant at the breakfast. He had a magnificent smile, no matter how busy he was he always greeted us, and they all worked extremely hard. The location was very good and the hotel had a very easy vibe to relax.

Rooms are very small and old and could be updated. From the photos I didn’t realize that the rooms were that small and old.

Friendly staff and family owned. Very helpful. Include breakfast is a plus. Lobby and common area are renovated. Free bicycle to roam around.

The room smelled a bit musty. It rained the first night we were there and nothing was dry the rest of the weekend. The bathroom is so tiny that when you shower the whole place gets wet, so we used up all our towels just mopping up the floor. Thankfully they brought us new towels the next day.

Breakfast is amazing! Such a nice lobby, great place to hang out and relax, and a very substantial breakfast! The staff is SO lovely and friendly. The family room worked great for us, really enjoyed that there was a fridge and microwave. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The room exceeded our expectations, plenty of space, good water pressure in the shower, both fridge, oven and kettle in the room. The male receptionist greeted us in a friendly manner and was very kind to show us the room and even stayed for a little small talk. Would 100% reccomend!

The bedroom was a tiny bit sparse but it was comfortable and suited our needs.

We booked the hotel the day we arrived In Punta del Este and we came in late. The lady at the counter was lovely. It turned out that she was the owner and that the hotel has been in the family for 50 years. You could tell that there was a lot of care and thought put into the hotel, particularly in the lobby and indoor and outdoor breakfast areas. The breakfast was also delicious. We really appreciated the personal touch.

Room was dated and in need of a new mattress. Toilet was having some issues, needs some refurbishing.
