Hotel is close to the beach and rooms have a nice view.

Lack of maintenance and simplicity of infrastructure - seems to be standard in Punta del Diablo.

Staff was very nice.

The entire complex was very rundown and dated. The shower had mildew and didn't really work. The AC was making weird noises and it was very old.

Punta del Diablo is an interesting place! There's only one paved road (the road into the town from Route 9), the rest are dirt roads. Many of the buildings can best be described as bordering on ramshackle. It all has a certain charm! If this isn't your cup of tea, you need to be somewhere else - Punta del Este, for example. Terrazas de la Viuda fits in very well with the town. It was difficult to find - this may have been my fault but not many of the dirt roads had name signs on them - and our room could have been cleaner. However, the staff were friendly and breakfast was surprisingly good.

Spacious room, comfortable beds, great water pressure and lots of hot water and a nice variety oncluding eggs and fruit for breakfast. Staff were excellent and the pool was clean as were the rooms and the grounds. Nice double lounger on the terrace outside our room. Very quiet location. Location was very close to the beach but about a 20 minute walk from the bars and restaurants on the front.

Everything about our stay was excellent! Property, rooms, view, balcony, swimming pool area, layout, Etc are ALL in Immaculate condition! and well-designed! Everything was crisp & clean. Super comfortable bed and duvet & pillows. Paola was very accommodating & helpful with all our questions and needs. She has a wonderful personality! Swimming pool is nicely heated. it's wonderful even though the temperature around you and the ocean might be cold you can always go for a swim in the warm pool. Breakfast had a great selection (Baked goods, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, cheese, coffee, juice.) Room was cleaned at least once a day. We always came back to fresh and tidied everything!
