How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

First bartender had the worst attitude, came to our table, no smile, no hello, just barked... What do you want. No hot water in our room. Hair in the shower. Had a great water view, very private and when we came back from breakfast one of the grounds crew was lounging in the seating area outside our room

The Homeless and the open drug dealers roaches ruined the experience. The blown-out-of-your-socks heroin addict who tried to enter our room on a daily basis sucked. the shower door was installed improperly causing my girlfriend to fall and be injured nothing was done. never ever ever going back. The management steals the housekeepers' tips. The bartenders sell drugs openly. SECURITY GATE LEFT OPEN. gIVING ROOMS TO NON RENTERS WHO BUY DRUGS

Verified reviewGreat crew! Have to mention our hostess Dalia who started us off and showed us around. She was a huge part in our satisfaction. Azzi, an intelligent young man with a great future ahead of him. He was full of local knowledge and a source of great conversations. Everyone was fantastic! Last but certainly not least was Karen the on-site manager. She smoothed over our scheduling issues and ensured our room and stay was top notch! The Fred is a cool place. I was there in March during their festival with great music. In June the Fred was much more laid back but that's why we were there. We will be back soon!
The Fred days they have a no refund, no modification of your scheduled stay. It seems you can but I was in a panick after I had scheduled our stay for the wrong week. Karen straightened out all out before we got there so it was a moot point.

Verified reviewHands down the best resort on that side of the island. We had a "sea view" room and the view was absolutely phenomenal. The bartenders were all very friendly and the food was delicious. Loved the noodles and floaties in the pool. I'd say what impressed us the most was the number of staff members throughout the location. If we needed anything there was always someone right there and happy to help.
The snorkeling gear was dirty and missing parts, they should be checked and sanitized between uses. They were in the process of getting new sheets, so the bed didn't have a fitted sheet, just two flat sheets and the bottom flat sheet kept sliding off the bed, but I understand that's going to be fixed. Upside was the bed appeared to be brand new.

Verified reviewThe vibe and staff were exemplary. The property is ideally located and it’s boutique formatting makes it perfect for leisure travelers that don’t want to wake up super early to reserve beach chairs or the perfect spot at the pool.
some features in the rooms need to be renovated/modernized and the property is still in progress of developing an after-hours contact feature for problems that arise after 10pm. Also, breakfast doesn’t start at the on-site restaurant until after 10am on the weekends (at least during my visit)which isn’t ideal for early risers.

Verified reviewthe outside area and location is great. It’s very close to the Frederiksted Pier, where you can snorkel or dive. Check-In was super nice, we got two cups of champagne (unfortunately in a plastic cup!) They had several times live music there. You can hang out at the pool, or at the beach.
Our room (in the main building) could use some maintenance. The night stand was damaged and we had some dust in the room. They don’t have bug screens and we had a couple mosquitoes in the room. Overall, the area was a bit dirty and could use some more attention. It’s such a nice place with a lot of potential, so it’s sad that it’s not really maintained. The wait time at the restaurant is ridiculous long, we waited around 30 minutes to get drinks and it wasn’t full. The food was too oily for us.
