We couldn’t reposition the AC fan or the bed so we had to turn off the AC for it not to blow directly on us all night.

It was close to where we needed to be the next day for our tour. The front desk and restaurant staff was very friendly. Amenities were clean.

My stay at Eco Hotel was truly first-class from start to finish. The room was gorgeous, with a stunning view of the limestone karsts, waking up to that scenery felt magical. The bed was super comfortable, the hot water always reliable, and the whole space spotless. Breakfast was tasty and fresh, the location unbeatable for exploring Cát Bà, and the staff were simply the best, so kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. This hotel is the perfect mix of comfort, beauty, and warm hospitality. I can’t recommend Eco Hotel enough, I’d come back in a heartbeat!

Rooms could have been cleaned a bit better in some hidden corners but nothing too serious. Unfortunately the fridge was switched off every time you removed the card.

No real negatives. That the property is located a few blocks from the waterfront (which is under construction) was actually a blessing.

The staff were very helpful in arranging local adventure tours and my return transportation to the airport. The breakfast buffet was not without a personal touch (fresh crepes!)

Great hotel with great service. We are travelling with kids and we had bedrooms with door in between to communication. The owner helps us to book a scooter and the transfer to Hanoi. Restaurants are super accessible but at night it is quiet

The rooms are not quite soundproof. Other guests started turning on super loud music at 6 in the morning or at midnight. But the hotel couldn't do anything about that ofcourse!

The staff was very nice and helpful, the location is perfect, the hotel is beautiful and the breakfast was one of the best we have had in Vietnam.

My wife and I loved our stay at Cat Ba Eco Hotel! The staff is super friendly and the complimentary breakfast is the best we’ve had in SE Asia. The hotel and the room itself is really modern and stands out as one of the nicest in Cat Ba Town! The location is perfect! Located right in the middle of great restaurants and near Cat Ba Climbing (important for us) and a nice little local gym. We would 100% recommend this hotel!

Very nice room, good hotel. Good desk, nice place to work. Very friendly staff, they moved a sunset cruise for us twice because my boyfriend wasn't feeling well. Great location, away from much of the noise in Cat Ba. Some reviews mention mould, but there's only a bit in the bathroom and not a problem if you close the bahroom door. My boyfriend had back pain, the bed made it worse, so if you have back problems or a sensitive back, then stay elsewhere. Otherwise, I would recommed this hotel, good ratio between price and quality.

The room was well lit with natural light from windows on two sides of the room. It was also refreshing to be able to open a couple of windows and let in fresh air so we didn't have to resort to air-conditioning. The glass window between the bedroom and the ensuite was a nice feature and added to the "open" feel. Breakfast was of a high standard, and we were delighted to see steamed vegetables included in the buffet on alternate days. The hotel is excellent value and in close proximity to restaurants and cafes

Clean, like-new and well maintained hotel. Breakfast was delicious and included multiple options. The staff was very friendly and helpful, we arrived at 9:00 on the check-in day and they managed to find a 1-day boat tour right away! There are cheaper options for sure, but if you are backpacking and want to treat yourself mid-trip, this is your spot!

Construction next door started at 7am each day, very loud, and could go as late as 9pm at night. Wasn't the hotel's fault but something to be aware of if you're wanting to sleep in - only a really heavy sleeper could sleep through that (although with earplugs I was okay).

Was a really lovely place, staff were very helpful and assisted us in booking a few tours and buses for really good prices. The room itself was lovely, very clean & spacious. Very comfortable bed, breakfast was good with a reasonably big selection from a buffet. Location was perfect, right in the centre and less than 15 mins walk to the dock for tours. Can't complain about anything except the construction next door, which wasn't the hotel's fault.

Although breakfast was delicious, I ended up getting food poisoning from an omelet.

We liked this place so much that we decided to stay an extra night. The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom is large and well ventilated. The cleaning of the spaces was very good. Breakfast was delicious and had good variety.

The bathroom basin tap mesh was not quite right so the tap sprayed water if turned up too much. Bidet sprayer leaked a bit.

Breakfast was simple but sufficient – they made us eggs and had available coffee, pho, toast, bacon, pancakes, fruit, noodles, rice. The shower had good pressure and endless hot water. There were plenty of shelves and cupboards to store our belongings. Aircon worked well.

The road right next to the hotel was under construction during our stay, so it was a bit loud during the day. Luckily it was quiet at night :)
