IrelandStaff were attentive and available at all times. Standard of service was very high. The room was clean and includes a fridge. We were given a free upgrade to a room with a balcony, which was lovely. The hotel is very well located for exploring the Old Quarter. They also provide a same-day laundry service which is very convenient. The mini bar/fridge is restocked every day when the room is cleaned, it is very nice to come in from a hot day exploring the city to a cold beer or water waiting in the fridge. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hanoi.

Amazing location and friendly staff, very helpful as they also run a travel agency as part of the hotel. The room was well equipped and comfortable enough. Breakfast was also good!

Location: Situated in the heart of the old quarter. About 12 min on foot to Dong Xuan Market (Note: this is primarily a wholesale market, not for tourist shopping. Best to go Cho Hom for small bus and tourist kind of shopping) and 18 min to the famous Lake. Room: Good size room & comfy bed. Bathroom spacious: shower area and toilet are separated by a glass panel. Rooftop Breakfast: Enjoy the gorgeous view during breakfast. The spread of food is considered ok. Eateries: Barely a stone throw (opp the hotel) is Michelin “awarded” Bun Cha: Must try.

PhilippinesWe had a great stay at Golden Moon Hotel. The staffs are nice (shoutout to Lily, Chloe & the other guy). They were so kind, helpful and easy to talk to. Chloe advised me that they upgraded our room which is very nice gesture. 😍 the room is good and clean. The beds are soft. The place is really in the center of Old Quarter. You can walk around anytime you want. We were in Sapa now and we will go back to Hanoi today — which we booked the same hotel. Breakfast is really good— i really like their coffee and food. Thank you to all the staffs!! 🥰😍

AustraliaLily and the team were so helpful, organising transfers to Sapa, Cat Ba and the airport for us. We stayed at Golden Moon as a sort of ‘base’ in old town, Hanoi to allow us to travel around northern Vietnam. Lily was super responsive on WhatsApp when it came to organising everything. They even let us keep our luggage there when we weren’t staying there! The rooms were super lovely and very clean and they very kindly upgraded us to a room with a balcony on our first night! We loved staying here and would stay here again next time we’re in Hanoi. Thank you Lily & the Golden Moon team!

CanadaThe space is very small but we did not mind it. The view from the window we had was a construction site of some sort so we just kept the curtains closed the entire time, which made for a dark room (but this doesn’t matter if you’re not spending much time there).
The location was perfect. Walkable to everything you need to see and do during your trip. The room was comfortable enough. Very small in size, but it definitely has enough space for the basics. The shower and bathroom are actually good in size with warm water. Complimentary drinkable water was given every day. The breakfast was actually so good and the view is cute. The best thing was honestly the staff. Super helpful and kind.

United StatesThe room aren't completely sound proof so you can still hear the motorbikes. However, It isn't located directly on a main street so it wasn't as much as a problem.
This is my second time staying at this hotel. I still think it is located at a wonderful location. The staff are extremely helpful. This time, we booked transportation through them from airport pickup/drop off, to the trip down to Ninh Binh. They also do currency exchange so it was very convenience.

Hotel was well located in the heart of The Old Quarter and within walking distance to Train Street and many other places of interest. Very easy and safe to move around the Old Quarter. Staff there was very friendly, patient and customer oriented. No communication barrier as they all speak good English.
