The only critique I have is that the water when taking showers was cold.

The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make your stay easy and comfortable. Especially when it comes to check-in and out. The beds are comfortable, which I appreciated, as I tried to get over my jet lag here. Toothpaste, toothbrushes and hand soap provided for you, including clean towels. The location is brilliant, especially if you'd like to visit the key sights of Hanoi. Also, have no fear if you are arriving very late or very early, the night receptionist will be able to let you in.

The room was spacious and as the pictures showed. The bathroom had a bathtub with a shower and everything was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The location is very convenient, close to the old quarter and everything we needed was reachable by foot. The best part was the owner Thomas who was so friendly and attentive. He gave us great tips for restaurants when we asked and helped with getting us to the bus to Sapa. While we didn't use the excursion booking service he offers (we didn't know and booked from Germany in advance) I am sure he will gladly help you book any bus or activity you like. Thank you Thomas for a great experience, we will come back if we ever return to Hanoi!

I liked the location, it was in the center of everything. You could walk to the lake, cathedral, shops, restaurants. Perfect location.

At first, hotelkeeper was one of the friendliest persons I ever seen. Thank you Thomas! I felt like I visited my old friend in Hanoi. I believe the attitude towards guests made also our stay very remarkable and unique. However hotel itself was in great location there are almost all you can do in Hanoi within walking distance. I recommend that hotel for staying in Hanoi.

The bed was a bit soft for my taste.

Thomas was amazing! He makes sure you are being well taken care of, be it by recommending restaurants, arranging day trips to Ha Long Bay or Ninh Binh, he was always happy to help with a smile. Location is right in the center of old town, easy walking to most places of interest. I would definitely come back!

Really friendly staff - Thomas was lovely and very helpful. The location was also great, within walking distance of all of the places I wanted to see. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. I just needed a base to sleep and it delivered.

This hotel almost tick all the boxes. Very comfy bed, great location and most importantly Thomas the owner. He is super helpful, likeable and tries to provide his best service. I would recommend this stay to everyone. BTW, he upgraded us with no charge. Stairs might be an issue for some but definitely not for us.

In general I am very happy with the property given the price I paid. But a few things to provide an even better experience would be to give free water to the guests; the lamp in my room was making a bit of a loud noise when turning it on (but it was fine cause I was there for a short time).

The location is exceptional! Close to all main attractions, cafes and restaurants. Thomas , the manager, kindly accommodated my request of having a room facing the back of the building. He also helped me arrange transportation to pick me up at the airport and take me there for a very reasonable price. The room was very clean.

The hotel has 5 floors without a lift and the staircase is quite steep. We were ok with that but it could be a problem for some people.

The location and equipment of the room were very good. But the best was the hotel manager Tom, available at the reception 24/7. Always ready to help with anything needed with a smile on his face. He flexibly organised all our trips to Hi Giang, HaLong Bay and Nihn Bihn at a high quality and good price. His service was so good that we even decided to stay at the hotel for three more nights.

Everything was nice, modern and clean. Only the beds were not comfortable. They had some sort of plastic wrapping around them - to protect the mattress I suppose -, but that made them uncomfortable to sleep on. It made sound everytime you moved. Please remove that plastic wrapping.

Had a lovely stay in Hanoi Moonlight Hotel. The location is great, right in the Old Quarter, yet there was no issue with noise at all! The room was spacious and clean, and the manager was so friendly - he would go above and beyond for his guests! I would definitely stay here again, it is great value for money!
