Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I wish the breakfast had peanut butter.
The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable with good air conditioning. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast has a wide variety of delicious food.

The hotel was very clean and modern. Check-in was smooth and easy. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room was very nice, and I liked that they offered complimentary water refilling stations on each floor. We didn't try breakfast or any of the amenities; however, the restaurant looked quite nice!

Like many hotels I've stayed at in Vietnam, the shower was not fully enclosed, so water inevitably got on the bathroom floor. I wish they'd had peanut butter at breakfast. There's not much in the area immediately around Hiive - I ended up walking to the plaza near TC Hotel and Becamex Hotel (better location) for dinner one evening and Sora Gardens another.
Hiive is a great place to stay on a business trip when working with a factory nearby. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The free wifi was fast and worked great for video calls. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes and was open from 6-10, so I could eat early and have plenty of time to prepare for the day. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, and having laundry on every other floor helped during my five night stay (detergent is available from reception for 25k VND).

If l had to say something then then the clothes driers were a bit slow.
The breakfast was amazing. Regardless of your nationality or ethnicity there was something for you. The staff were amazingly helpful especially Nick in the bar and Charlie at reception. We asked for a late check out and was granted one immediately for 2pm.

Attention should be paid to throwing away bags of rubbish when cleaning the rooms. This was not done even once during the whole week of our stay.

Staffs were helpful and friendly Providing a washing machine and dryer for washing is a good idea, and free of charge!! Good to have this option. Food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. USB socket updated with high power for new phones and other accessories, good.

Very overpriced, it was a complete rip off. I had a major problem out of town that I had to go deal with but the staff refused to allow me to check out early. Even after Booking.com accepted my request (67 hours after I contacted customer service!) Hiive management still refused and said they would charge for the entire stay. I tried to negotiate some sort of settlement, and even pay the commission but they still refused to help me. Considering I was paying 3x the normal rate they should have accommodated me.

if you are a weak sleeper, never accept a room close to elevator which is "Ding Ding" 24/7 (asked the reception and she told possible to turn down)and close to the washing machine. two suggestions to hotel. 1. lower or switch off the sound of elevator every time it approached, it is a unnecessary function 2. washing machine should have a time limitation for guest rather than still running after 12pm
