The food, trips and Dan the Man was excellent

Clean , friendly helpful staff, Dan the Man was a great guide very inclusive of everyone, had a great sense of humour. Tour was well organized and we saw a lot in the time we were there

Old and deteriorating facility

We were upgraded to the Hera cruise . The staff were superb. Ming who looked after us for our stay and coordinated everything was brilliant. The quality of the food was excellent. The schedule was busy but it needed to be to get all the trips and excursions in. Well worth it.

We were in then Hera cruise as the Amanda was out of service

Food was really good. Customer service very good too. Rooms are quite comfortable, pillows not so much though.

We took a 3D2N cruise and we thought the 1st day tours are a common and very bad choice: way too crowded. Day 2 activities were fantastic on the other hand. Also, the manager of the boat was a bit rude sometimes which we thought it was due to a certain level of stress (crowded activities doesn’t help).

- The service staff were attentive and on board tour guide Minh kept us on time and on our toes with schedules. You could say he ran a tight ship. - We asked for a non fish menu and it was well catered for us. - The admin team that contacted us via WhatsApp were efficient as organising transport to and from our hotel.

- The AC split system was old and struggled. - The photos of the Hera Grand Luxury don’t match the current state of the boat. Like a dating app, they looked way better than reality. We got bumped from the Amanda Halong to another boat in their fleet the Hera Grand Luxury. Whilst sounding like an upgrade, the upgrade boat in reality is a lot more degraded than the photos. What someone described as Classic Indochina I described as “old and tired”, with weeds even growing along edges of the deck and life rafts looking old and worn as pictures attached show.

Everything. The boat was great, staff super friendly and helpful. Activities were great and explained well. Our room was beautiful and the bath with a view amazing. Dinner was fab and we only wish we had had longer on board.

Great cruise boat, nice food and drink options and very welcoming and friendly staff. Transport to port was convenient and comfortable and worked out as planned. Thanks Andy. 🙏

The view of Ha Long bay was beautiful and it was serene away from the bustling Hanoi.

The one night two days cruise felt quite busy as we were either eating or doing some activities. It could be more relaxing.

Gave a 5 only because we appreciated the upgrade to a bigger cruise and room—thank you for that. We really loved the room, it was spacious and beautiful, with a great sea view, balcony, and a large bathroom.

However, the itinerary and cleanliness were quite disappointing and need SERIOUS improvemeny. We were looking forward to visiting Surprising Cave and Titop Island, but only went to Hospital Cave. The kayaking felt rushed, and we didn’t have much time to explore. There was no bait provided for squid fishing, and we didn’t see any squid at all. Also, we found dead cockroaches in the room.

We did the one night cruise with Amanda Halong Cruise and had the best time! The room was clean and comfortable, the activities were very fun and the boat was beautifully presented. We absolutely loved the food! Every single meal was so delicious and we were particularly impressed with the four course nighttime meal. We went on adventures with Tom, laughed and danced with Dan and did a guided Tai Chi session with Hannah. The staff were some of the kindest and happiest people which definitely made the trip that bit more special. Another special mention to a gentleman that was serving food and drinks - I am sorry that I can't remember his name but he was wonderful and always greeted us with the biggest smile. I am so happy we picked Amanda cruise for our Halong Bay experience and would definitely recommend to others.

Great experience. The 2nd day was the BEST. Amazing staff especially Dan, Hannah & Tom 👍 Great food.

Room tiny, not like pics. There was no deck from the room (it was a sliding window).

The room we booked was not in proper maintenance condition and was not clean. The roof was not properly painted, the walls were stained and the floor had hairs and dust from previous guests. We were upgraded after talking to the manager. Luckily that other superior room was available. This cruise was rated as 5 stars and we had higher expectations. The staff is very nice and the food was good. The maintenance overall of the boat can be improved.

The room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped]. Staff were friendly, professional and super helpful. The location was peaceful and amazing. The buffet options were really good and so were the activities. Dan was amazing and kept us entertained throughout our stay. He made sure about our needs and checked on us which was very nice of him.

The cruise was fanatastic, great size rooms were very spacious for which I was not expecting! We were upgraded to a room with a balcony

I recently had the pleasure of joining a luxury cruise in Vietnam, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff were incredibly warm and hospitable—always smiling, welcoming us, and ready to assist with anything we needed. Their friendliness really made a difference and added a personal touch to the trip. The food was a highlight of the journey—delicious meals were served throughout, and the coffee was especially impressive. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and there was always something to look forward to. The activities on board and off the cruise were well-organized and enjoyable. I loved the guided cave walk, the little hike we did, and the kayaking adventure. Boat rides and guided tours were also part of the experience, all offering stunning views and enriching insights. The cruise team also helped us arrange transportation seamlessly, which made things even more convenient. Overall, I highly recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious escape in Vietnam. Everything—from the calm setting and beautiful surroundings to the attentive staff and memorable activities—was perfect.

A great cruise, we really enjoyed ourselves, there were loads of activities to do from kayaking in beautiful waters, swimming, and visiting stunning beaches and caves, especially on the second day! The food was good and there was a good choice of dishes. Thanks again to Andy, Dan and the rest of the team for being so welcoming and hospitable! I would recommend doing the two night stay as then you really get to experience the bay properly in all it's beauty!
