How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewThe setting for the homestay is really lovely with the lush trees and plants and the river. The meals were really yum and very generous portions! The owner was really helpful with arranging transport to town as the Grabs won’t pick up out there.
You do need to taxi to get anywhere as it is a bit out of town, so while it is part of the charm of the property it could be a negative for those wanting to explore town. Also the beds were super firm!!

Verified reviewEverything was perfect from the start. Amazing location and ideal for seeing the Mekong Delta. There were mudskippers right next to our bungalow, which was one of the reasons I wanted to visit and plenty other of other local wildlife. Kha, his wife and some friends took us on a very interesting full day tour of the bird sanctuary and the Ba Lai river which I highly recommend. Mrs Tu is a very attentive host and will provide whatever you need for an enjoyable stay. We were greeted with coconut drinks in her beautiful garden. They provide bicycles free of charge and we went on a lovely cycle through the countryside. You can rent a scooter for your convenience if you wish. The area where breakfast and meals are served is beautiful on a balcony overlooking the mangrove pond. The bungalow was well furnished, comfortable, and provided hammocks to relax in. The home cooked food was delicious, natural foods from the area. I cannot rate this experience highly enough. The hospitality was above and beyond.

Verified reviewI couldn't recommend Mr Kha and his family highly enough. A beautiful homestay in gorgeous rustic gardens with the loveliest family. Nothing was too much trouble for Mr Kha who provided advice on things to do in the local area, supplied bikes and various tours of the Mekong (we did local workshops, visited villages, went on a boat along the delta, watched the sunset on the river by boat and saw fireflies at night). We had the most amazing home cooked meals made by his wife and fresh fruit from his garden (the best food we've tasted in Vietnam). He provided a shuttle service to HCMC/ Airport. One of the best stays we've had in our 2 years touring Vietnam. If you want a genuine chilled local experience of life on the delta and it's people, this is the place to go.

Verified reviewHomestay in a beautiful garden with a wide variety of fruits and plants. The family is just amazing, with great communication skills and willingness to make your stay perfect. The cook deserves a special mention. River tour and transportation were very well planned. Do not hesitate to book a few days

Verified reviewWe loved the family home stay. Every member of the family welcomed us and made sure that our stay was perfect. We enjoyed a 3.5 hour Makong Delta tour arranged for us by our hosts. We borrowed the bikes one day to explore on our own. The on site dinners were very good. It was overall a great experience for us.

Verified reviewThe owners were so friendly and helpful, and the home-cooked meals were delicious. Free bicycles to ride around the coconut plantations. Great for a quiet and peaceful break.
The tours offered were more expensive than local tour companies. No way to reach town/restaurants without your own transport.

Verified reviewWe stayed in a Bungalow in the garden, and the place was amazing. The garden is wonderful, calm and full of different plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables. The family grows everything themselves ecologically. The food was also extraordinary, and everyone was super helpful and friendly. We had a great time here and would definitely come back if we visit Ben Tre again.

Verified reviewI've been here so many times and have already planned the next two visits. Beautiful gardens, welcoming hosts, great food. There's nothing I don't like here. They can organise trips for you, you can borrow bicycles or motorbikes to explore or you can just relax in the garden. A great place to stay, whether you're looking for a respite from the the chaos of HCMC or whether you're passing through on a tour of Vietnam. it deserves at least a couple of nights to really appreciate it.

Verified reviewThe owners are very helpful and very welcoming. The dinner option is very good.
The bungalow is very basic and the bathroom very rustic It was difficult to sleep at night, there is no isolation and the aircon is very noisy. It's overpriced compared to others places in Vietnam.

Verified reviewFabulous homestay, experiencing family life in Ben Tre. Mr Kha & Mrs Tu so friendly and welcoming. Very peaceful after hubbub of Saigon. Use of bikes allowed us to explore the canals & tracks in the area, including Coconut island, seeing rural Vietnam. Mrs Kha cooked us wonderful meals - full of flavour. Highly recommended
