The bed in the room we had was about finished with springs and bad form, not so good for our bodies, but we stayed despite this since we liked the place and did not bother to switch rooms. Although I would guess the hosts would have been very accommodating to give us a different bed for the few days of our stay if I had shared the complaint.

Really great hosts, very friendly and helpful with sharing information and assisting with fair prices and ease for booking tours and buses! The location is okay with motorbike rental on site making exploring across the bridge very accessible. Cafes, atm, mini market, and a good restaurant on the street very close and convenient We stayed many days since we enjoyed the room. It is clean, has nice window, functional bathroom, common spaces, and shared yet private terrace common space. Enough space in our room and the terrace common space to do yoga :)

Other guests were loud and drunk and came into my room in the middle of the night (I forgot to lock it because I assumed it was safe). As a female alone in the room, I felt very scared.

Uncomfortable bed.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Sorted out our one day cruise + arranged a taxi and a bus to our next destination. Their breakfast is delicious as well.

Unfortunately the hot water didn't work (even though the lady turned it on when I arrived), the mattress seemed a bit worn out and the second warm blanket that was provided in the room and I needed stank gross. When I asked for a different one they provided me with one after a few minutes (although also that one didn't smell fresh unfortunately).

I could hear everything from my room. There is a lack of soundproofing.

I was put in a room on the same level as the pool. There was someone on a video call and I heard their whole conversation. Rooms are not very soundproof. I stayed there once before and got the room right on the bottom floor, it was perfect, no issue.

The pool was empty because of the low season. The room was a bit noisy sometimes, thin walls.

A quiet place near the shops and cable car. There’s a lovely bakery around the corner. The host is nice and the room was clean. There was a towel to use. They provide breakfast for a decent price and even lunch is available :)

Our room was separated by a sliding wall from the other room, so there was a bit of a lack of privacy, as we felt like we were all living together :)

The walls were very thin so I could hear the conversations in reception Halong itself has not a lot to do but this is not the hostels fault

Property was nice just to chill. Owners couldn’t do enough for me and helped with onward buses

Bathroom window was a small hole in the wall, did not even have a screen, was partially covered with an artificial plant and styrofoam. This meant bugs could easily get in. We kept the bathroom door closed to avoid bugs getting into the room. Wasn’t a big issue but a screen to cover the opening in the bathroom would be nice.

Private room, nice big windows, good location, within walking distance of the Halong Bay International Cruise port. Early check-in was possible for an additional fee. Responsive and friendly host. Iced tea and bánh mi’s were also tasty and reasonably priced. We organized our own Halong Bay activities privately, but they are also willing to help you sort it out!

Only thing was there was a window at the back of the room with no curtain which meant light came in in the morning and also felt like people opposite could potentially see into our room

Good location near to centre, the woman at the desk was extremely helpful, kind and accommodating. Able to leave bags and do a self check in as we arrived at 4-5am from Ha Giang
