Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Can't think of anything
The room had a nice comfy bed and pillow. Ideal location in the old city and very close to the lake. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The lift helped with getting the cases up to the room. Our room was also on the back and very quiet

Bed was rock hard but somehow i still slept well :)
We only stayed for one night as a stopover to Ha Long Bay, and it served its purpose well. Despite some negative reviews about room size, we found it spacious enough for our needs (we easily accommodated two large suitcases). Our flight delay meant we arrived after midnight, past reception hours, but the staff kindly waited for us to check in and were very responsive in their communication.

The thing that we struggled with was to communicate with the staff. The lack of English language knowledge is frustrating sometimes. But we managed to communicate via Translate in the situations where we could not understand or they could not understand us.
The accommodation was alright for an Asian one. We had nice beds and the towels were clean. The room was a little bit small for three people, but we managed it. The location is also near to the city center, or even in the center.

The room was extremely small. There was no window or balcony and that made it claustrophobic.
Location was excellent.. Right in the middle of old quarter Hanoi. Room and bathroom had all facilities.

The location is surrounded by food places and cafes, the staff go out of their way to help and assist us, the breakfast has good variety of food, the room was spacious, clean and has comfortable bed. The hot and cold shower has good pressure.

Breakfast is very delicious. It's so silent at night so I can sleep well even if the hotel location is at the most popular place of Old Quarter.

A bit noisy. We had to change hotels for one night due to overbooking. Rising Dragon paid difference but the inconvenience of packing and moving our luggage was disappointing. Also when large groups stay there is not enough room in dining room to accommodate everyone.
Central location in old quarter, close to everything. Breakfast included was nice, fresh and prepared for you. Room was clean and comfortable.

Really good location right in the old city, and also surprisingly quiet! The staff were super helpful and friendly. They even allowed us to cancel a booking for free the same day when our travel plans suddenly changed. The room standard was a little tired, but very clean and the bed was comfy. Definitely really good value for money. The breakfast was pretty good too. Would definitely recommend!

The location is in the old quarter. Everything is near and easy to get. Cosy clean room. The staff is very nice and tries to help in everything. It’s very comfortable when you don’t need to think about anything: bus tickets, excursions, just tell what you want and you will get.

The elevator can only carry 4 people. But that's okay.. Everything is great in this hotel.
Location is great and near everything. The staff, specifically Henry and David, are very accomodating and helpful. They even.suggested where we should go and what food we should try around Old Quarter. They even checked us in early and even accomodate our check out so early in the morning. You can also arrange transportation to and from the airport for an extra charge.

We had 2 different rooms during our stay and 1 room had a very hard pillow/mattress and the other was very comfortable.

My room had no window, so that light had to be turned on also during day time as long as I was staying inside
