Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel is clean, quiet, with a large balcony. The staff is very friendly, they always smile every time they see us. They also provide a lot of high quality and good price tours to Ha Long and Ninh Binh. Ask them about discounts

Everything about this hotel is perfect. Room was spacious, clean. Staff very helpfull in getting us taxi to airport even they help us to book a day trip. Will definitely return to this hotel when we came to hanoi again

The location is excellent. Right in the heart of old quarter and close to all the main attractions. The staff were incredible. They always greeted us with a smile, asked about our day and assisted us with booking transport and day tours. On our return to the hotel after a night away at Halong Bay, they generously provided us with a room upgrade. The interior design is beautiful, air conditioning works well and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. The bed was also super comfortable. This hotel really is value for money, and I hope to stay again some day.

The room is not sound proof. When you get out from your room up to the lobby, it smells like an old building. But other than that, we had a great stay.
We like that there is a safe and the bed is kung size and comfortable. We also like the bathroom and the balcony. Room is very spacious and clean. We love the breakfast buffet, but they serve it from the other hotel. We don't mind walking a bit. It was great.

The staff was very friendly and they let us take an extra shower twice. Once in the evening before a night train to our next destination and once while we weren't even technically staying at the hotel anymore (before going on a 2-day trip).

Wonderful staff, friendly, cheerful, helpful. They make you feel at home. The hotel is right in the middle of the old town, restaurants and cafés right at hand. Everything in the room was spick and spam!

Just got back from Hanoi. Stayed at Lotus Boutique Hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Location was central. Right place to stay if you want to try street food and experience the sights and sounds. Will not hestitate to recommend this place to my friends..

We recently stayed at Hanoi Lotus Boutique Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The standout feature was the impeccable service, particularly from reception, who ensured our stay was seamless. From organizing tours to providing a map with local attractions during check-in and answering our messages while they were off from work, they went above and beyond. The room was clean, beds comfortable, and the bathroom had complete amenities. Complimentary daily water bottles were a thoughtful touch.

I was upgraded to a better hotel in the same nearby system. The room is on a high floor, very spacious and has a beautiful view. Breakfast was also excellent. What cannot be denied is that the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

The location was right in the middle of the Old Quarter so we were able to walk to most sites. The breakfast was so good. There was variety and the menu changed slightly each day. Our executive suite room was beautiful and had a balcony that we loved so much! ALL staff members are so endearing and so eager to help and made us feel like we were right at home..
