How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewI stayed in Sunny Guest House from 26-31/08/25. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Shout out to the staff for making my stay smooth. The rooms and reception are always kept clean, and there's someone at the front desk until it's late. The location is just behind Bui Vien so there's plenty of restaurants and bars to see. It's also walking distance from everywhere else. The staff also have a partnership with Kim Travel and they're able to do discounted tours, which I recommend having a look. If you're looking for friendly vibes, value, and convenience, then this is a solid choice.
There are no elevators, so if you're bringing a lot of heavy luggage, then it's something to consider. I was informed beforehand, and the staff arranged a room for me on the first floor which made things easier. The actual accommodation is also located within an alley, so pickup & drop off is a little harder. Overall, this wasn't too bad as both alley entryways are roughly 20m from the accommodation. Overall, this is a place I recommend staying in, and I'll personally be making a return, especially as a solo traveller.

Verified reviewRoom was very clean, the floor was immaculate, Hotel staff were very friendly. Convenient location, walking distance to all the Saigon tourist attractions; Post Offce, Cathedral, Ben Thanh Markets etc.
Sometimes you could hear the loud music from Bui Vien walking street. Hotel doesn't have a elevator.

Verified reviewIt is located close to walking street so you are central to everything in the city. The front desk staff are so friendly and assisted us with booking a tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The shower is very warm and the air con is powerful so we were comfortable in the room.
The beds were very hard and rigid so we didn’t sleep the best.

Verified reviewFriendly staff! Good communication. Clean accommodation, you have to take your shoes off before you enter the place which I appreciate. Great location as well. There's a balcony if you need to dry some clothes/towels.
Very minor: we stayed on the 4th floor 😂 but aside from that, nothing else.

Verified reviewGuesthouse is down a little side alley with local shops and beautician that were great value! You are so well located for activities and pick ups. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the room was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay.
You can hear the music from walking street until about 3am, so if you have trouble sleeping that might be difficult for you.

Verified reviewGreat location. Welcoming host, bed was comfy, good room size , once the host turned on hot water the shower was good.
Not enough outlets . There were not enough plugs in my room so the host had to run extension code. Extension cord across the room was not the best setup. I also had to ask the host to turn on hot water, I took a cold shower on the first day.

Verified reviewBooked 1 night and end up staying for 3. Rooms were spotless and a great location. Very easy to find and a short walk from where alot of buses drop you off. It is down a little alley with the opposite end being Bùi Viên. But still far enough away from this street that it never disturbed my sleep.

Verified reviewLiving in the middle of the city (district 1), only about 100 meters from Saigon's famous/notorious pary mile and still quiet in the night. Friendly and helpful staff.
No lift: a bit exhausting when you have room 301.
