There is literally nothing I didn’t like. If I have to mention areas of improvement, maybe a few more bread options for breakfast (still the breakfast was really good which hot options as well as lots of fresh fruit). The tiles of the swimming pool get too hot at midday but the hotel provides flip flops for this and there is not much more they can do about it.

Tam Coc Retreat is a hidden jewel in the Ninh Binh area. We had a wonderful stay in Villa 1, very spacious room, really comfortable and well thought. The aircon in every room was extremely useful during the raining season which was incredible hot in August. The hotel seems quite new and very well organised, the staff is extremely helpful, friendly and polite. Overall our stay was a 10 out of 10 and will definitely come back!

The personal is so kind! They arranged everything with a smile. Our daughter celebrated her birthday when we stayed at the retreat and they managed to arrange birthday cake! Also the setting is very tranquil, very nice to relax after a day tour!

Our stay at Tam Coc Retreat was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The location is stunning — nestled between the limestone mountains, it offers incredible views and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere away from the busy tourist areas. The bungalows were charming, clean, and very comfortable, with an amazing bathroom. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They gave great recommendations on excursions to do in the area. Breakfast was delicious, with both Vietnamese and Western options, and the pool area was a great place to relax after a day of exploring. We could even stay a bit longer after our checkout and still relax at the pool. We would definitely come back here on a future trip!

In a quiet location, you can easily bike for free to the attractions around (rice field, boat tour) Breakfast is plentiful and good It was my birthday, so they gifted me a cake in the room which was very appreciated

Breakfast was lacking in variety such as tropical fruits which was in season, traditional breakfast options like corn, sticky rice, for the price we paid for our bungalow. at one point, I asked for additional chicken pho broth, but they wouldn't give me chicken to go with saying they had to save for other guests. there were maybe 10 guest that morning having breakfast. my the pool hour was limited until 6p, which is time when we would come back from our touring and daily activities. I did give my feedback to receptionist who was receptive to it, so I hope they can improve in those areas.

Location was tucked away in the edge of tam coc, quiet retreat, easy bike ride into town, but you do have to share the road w/ trucks and motorbikes. The ground of this facility was a beautifully groomed and lush tropical garden with mango, jackfruit, and birds of paradise every where. the master bedroom has a wide window that frames a gorgeous tropical garden growing outside. you're really taken away from every day hustle and bustle, a lovely escape! Free bikes that work great, and you definitely need it being out there.

Tam Coc Retreat felt like a warm hug. I booked a one night stay after leaving another accommodation early which was not what I thought it would be. A lot of places in Vietnam have been misleading but Tam Coc Retreat was seriously a hidden gem. My room was so peaceful and beautiful. I spent the day relaxing and I think that speaks volumes because I didn’t want to leave the room. The most comfortable bed of the trip and my room ( a free standing bungalow) had this incredible tub I very much enjoyed especially during a rainy night in. I also felt super safe here as a solo female traveler. Something that was seriously lacking at a neighboring property and oh so important. Only around 13 rooms, the property is intimate and quiet. The food was good and I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. But the best part about this place was the staff. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and taken care of. They also didn’t try to pressure or upsell me things and I encountered that a lot in Vietnam. Very responsive over WhatsApp if I needed anything at all and were super accommodating with everything. They even packed me a little bag of snacks and fresh cut up fruit for my three hour drive to Hanoi airport because I’d be missing lunch. Bottom line, if you’re coming to the area and want comfort and peace, book this place

It's a bit out of the way of everything, but we knew that when we booked, good thing there are bikes you can use for free to get around. The breakfast/dining area could use a bit of a make-over, it's not really appealing, but the food is wonderful!

The room is very big, with a wonderful bathroom. The swimming pool is very nice as well! Everybody at the reception is wonderful, and there are bicycles you can just use...!

We loved our spacious and clean villa. Our children had plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable. The staff at the resort are incredibly kind. Rose Linh and the other young lady working the front always greeted us with a smile and made sure our questions and needs were met. They helped arrange two days worth of trips, which were excellent. Our last day a gentleman took over the front desk and was equally friendly/ helpful. The resort was very fully staffed despite how few rooms were at the resort which really made it feel more luxurious. I had an amazing 10k run into town and back with gorgeous views along the way. My kids really enjoyed the very clean pool. The property and decor were AMAZING - straight out of Architectural Digest.

The genuity of the service is at its best. The staff couldn't be anymore attentive and helpful. The resort only has 13 rooms so it's nice and quiet. Room is brand new, clean and highly aesthetic. Food is great too, local dishes taste authentic and so good we had lunch here everyday.

The hotel staff were very helpful in helping us enjoy our stay. They recommended areas we could see and provided sturdy bicycles for our explorations around Ninh Binh. We loved the cabana that we were offered. It was quiet, spacious. The bathtub was a real perk that we enjoyed nightly. This hotel is about a 15 min bike ride from the Tam Coc main tourist area so it was very quiet yet easy to reach the fun when we wanted it. We were very, very impressed with the restaurant. We ate there all three nights of our stay and were very impressed by the selection of food and quality of the dishes. The breakfast also offered a nice selection and fresh pho, so we were in heaven.

We stayed in a beautiful villa, which was perfect for our family of four. It’s a very beautiful retreat. Due to hot weather we did sightseeing in the morning and towards the end of the day, and relaxed at the pool in the afternoon. It’s great to have the bikes available to use, easy to get to know the area. We cycled around the rice fields and to Bich Dong Pagoda. Everyone at the retreat was really friendly and helpful. They arranged our transportation to different attractions as well as to our next destination. If we ever return, we would definitely choose the same hotel!

Perhaps the restaurant could be a tiny bit better but it is also a convenient lot good option for food.

The place itself is absolutely beautiful. Not only it is located in a calm place but the hotel is beautiful and peaceful too. The staff is absolutely the best, super warm and helpful at all times. The common facilities like the pool are great and it’s nice to have the bikes available.
