Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaEverything the accomodation the staff the peacefulness of it all. Absolutely 10 out of 10.
Very peaceful everything was perfect I didn’t want to leave definitely will come back. The breakfast was lovely so fresh. The staff were very accommodating and organised everything for me, tours, taxi and train back to Hanoi. When I’m in Tam Coc this is my preferred place of stay only wish I could have stayed longer!

United KingdomThe property was clean and set in beautiful scenery -a pond and trees with plenty of flowers. The property was quiet and off the busy main street. There were bikes to use at our leisure and the owner was very helpful to us during our visit. Breakfast was included and a nice selection was available. Thank you for a lovely stay at Tam Coc Ngoc Linh Bungalow.

United KingdomSometimes I could hear the people in the other rooms.
We have stayed here twice now, and would return again. It is in a great location, with the use of free bikes. Lovely and spacious room with a very comfy bed. Really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.

IrelandCannot fault this place, have seen some reviews complain about bugs, yes there were some but you are in the countryside! An electrified tennis racket device is in each room for killing mosquitoes and a quick sweep of the room with that meant we weren't bitten during the night.
Gorgeous homestay with the most hospitable family. Our family room was spacious, comfortable and clean with fabulous Aircon. Room was cleaned and fresh towels provided whenever we needed. Breakfast was simple, Vietnamese style, a choice of pho/bread/eggs/pancakes, coffee/tea/juice and fresh fruit every morning. Quiet location just outside the main street of Tam Coc. Plenty of restaurants/bars within easy walking distance. Free use of bikes means you are only an easy 5 minute cycle from the main street. The swimming pool was very clean during our stay and a welcome escape from the heat after exploring the local area. Loved our stay here, so peaceful yet not too far from the action.

Host is so friendly and helpful. Will always offer help where she can. Everyone on site seemed friendly and the location for us was fab. The beds were super comfy and always good to have towels to hand. Appreciated the room fridge being full of various drinks which is super after a long day of exploring.

United KingdomThe kindness of the lovely woman and her family could well have saved my life - she appeared on a bike when I was on the side of the road with horrific food poisoning to get me back to the homestay, and made me rice porridge when I couldn't leave my bed for two days. When my partner got sick after me and the hotel was full she opened up a room they don't use anymore across the road and let us stay there for another night. When we arrived at 6am on our first day too, she let us into our room early so we could sleep after an overnight bus. Felt so safe and looked after, we were there for over a week in the end and it was the rest we needed.

United KingdomWe thought that there could be some improvements to the breakfast. Bread (fresh baguette) butter and jam was a separate item on the preselected options. Actually, this bread was provided with the other options but no butter or jam. I think western culture would like to have the bread with butter and jam included. The fresh fruit juice was very good, but here again many would also like to have tea or coffee as well, instead of a separate option. We loved our stay at Tam Coc Ngoc Linh Bungalow and thought it was very reasonable with the hostess getting 10 out or 10 for service. We wouldn't have minded paying a bit extra for the breakfast to include the options like those mentioned. rather than having it complementary. Having said when we asked they were kind enough to include the butter and jam with no extra cost to us and gave us a nice cup of coffee while waiting for transport. Well done.
Nice quiet location a couple of kilometres outside of the main town. Nice cosy dining area with bar. When we arrived a small group of young people were using it for a personal reflective meeting. We arrived about 9.30pm and had not eaten since lunch, but the hostess (owner) prepared us some nice food to eat. We loved the use of complementary bicycles which made getting to the town very easy. We also used them to go for a lovely ride in the country. There is the main river ride accessed in the main town, but a short cycle or even walk away is a quieter river ride which we loved. The room we had was quite big with 2 double beds. The hostess arranged a massage for my wife and I which was very reasonable and a great treat. The hostess also arranged transport for us to go to SaPa on a VIP sleeper bus. I got confused with the 24 hour clock and asked for the wrong time. The hostess did not panic, but rearranged a more suitable time for us at very short notice. I was so happy about this and want to express my gratitude for her trouble. Incidentally, the VIP sleeper bus was the best transport that I have ever used! We loved the peaceful surroundings and the pond with numerous Coy carp.

United Arab EmiratesWe absolutely loved our time here and our wonderful bungalow. The bungalow is basic with very comfy beds and simple amenities shower, fridge AC etc. Breakfast highly recommend starting your long exploring days with tomato onion omelette with a fabulous french stick. The bungalow is situated on outside of Tam Coc (probably about 20mins walk to the town centre), you'll be woke to the sounds of cockerals and the odd barking dog pigs oinking as surrounded in farm life. Would recommend anyone to stay here and we'll definitely be back.

IrelandA great place to stay. Clean, tidy and comfortable; only a short walk from the centre of Tam Coc. Mrs Phuoung was a great host, even sending on to the next accommodation some items that I left behind. Breakfast was great and varied providing a good start to the day. Bicycles available for free and good enough for a 30km ride to Mua Caves and Hua Lu. Thoroughly recommended.
