Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Very clean, calm, high ceilings, the owner speaks good English, good breakfasts I highly recommend Tien's Cozy Homestay. We spend 4 nights in Cuba's house. Cuba is a very good host. It was easy to communicate with him. He arranged us cars at places that we wanted to visit in Phong Nha Kebang. We did not want to leave that lovely place.

SpainShower and toilet close to each other so the toilet gets wet.
Cuba is super friendly, always available via whatsapp and in person to answer questions, arranging scooters, tours and bus to the next destination. The possibility to use the pool on the day of checkout and be able to take a shower before getting in the night bus is highly appreciated.

Awesome homestay. Easy 0230 checkin was arranged. Great breakfast. Lovely to have a pool (although there were some little biting bugs in there). They had scooters and bikes to hire which made exploring Phong Nha super easy.

NetherlandsCan maybe be a slight inconvenience for some, but the room is sparsely furnitured. But other than that, no complaints at all.
The service here is amazing. Cuba is an excellent host! The hotel is very clean, breakfast is good, pool is beautiful, and the scooter rental is a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend, 10/10.

United KingdomNo fridge in room but there is a fridge downstairs in the lobby with cold drinks in so we just paid for the water and soft drinks from there.
We absolutely loved our stay here and wished we could stay longer! Cuba is really friendly and always only a message away. We checked in early hours due to overnight bus and Cuba was very accommodating. Rooms are clean and modern, pool area is lovely and the views are simply beautiful. Great location only 10 min walk to the main Street and only a 10 min drive from the duck stop. Bathroom showers are powerful. Breakfast is really nice also. If we ever come back to Phong Nha we would definitely stay again

Cuba the host was nothing but perfect. Our transport from Hue was cancelled and we could not find another one for that day. Upon hearing this he managed to find a taxi that was willing to drive the long distance. It saved us a lot of hassle and stress. He was very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay making sure we were equipped with anything we needed and he even sorted our sleeper bus ticket on departure. The pool was clean and had a nice view and there are options for both sun and shade beds. It is not too crowded and is a good size and depth. The showers are hot and the beds are comfy with good AC. The location is slightly out of the centre but only a 5-10 minute flat walk to the restaurants. It is also easy to get a grab or rent a moped from the home stay. Highly recommend.

Everything in the homestay was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were super soft. We had a room with a view over the rice paddies and karsts which we loved. We enjoyed a dip in the pool to cool off almost everyday and there were heaps of balconies and seating areas to hang out in. The breakfasts were really tasty and as a vegan, I really enjoyed the fried noodles with vegetables and fruit for breakfast every day. At the homestay, you can rent motorbikes for a good price and the bus tickets that we booked through them were really good value as well. Cuba and the rest of the team were so helpful and ensured we had the best stay with them and in Phong Nha.

Absolutely amazing stay at Tien's Cozy Homestay. Cuba was an amazing manager who really helped us during our stay. We managed to misplace our bike key the first night of our stay and Cuba went above and beyond to help us out (even ultimately finding our key!). He gave us some fantastic recommendations which really made our stay so we could make the most of the little time we had. The accommodation was clean and spacious and the pool was lovely. Breakfast was classic, and really tasty. Would highly recommend!

SpainOn my first night, the room had mosquitoes due to a broken bathroom window, which was a bit of a nuisance. However, I moved to a different room the next night and didn’t have any issues. While the place is comfortable, the rooms are quite simple—so if you’re looking for more upscale amenities or design, this might not be the right fit.
Tien’s Cozy Homestay offers great value for money, especially in a town where prices can be on the higher side due to tourism. The host, Cuba, speaks good English and reaches out ahead of time via WhatsApp to see if you need anything. He was very attentive throughout my stay and helped with practical things like booking a bus to my next stop. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The bed was good, the shower worked well, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. There’s also a small pool, which was a nice place to relax after a day out. The homestay is located in a quiet neighborhood, about a 10-minute walk from the town center—close enough to be convenient, but far enough to avoid noise. There is a nice breakfast menu you can choose from in the morning. =)
