The boat is very nice and pleasant with a small number of passengers and plenty of staff to take the best care of everyone. The food was excellent , the views as well. We also enjoyed the active programme over a 3D/2N tour with the guide Hieu - kayaking, cycling, hiking and swimming (though would have liked more cruising). The overnight spots were great (without any boats nearby the first night )

The boat is beautiful and the crew super nice and always smiling. We were almost always alone during this itinerary. Meals are also pretty good.

The schedule is too tight, so it’s hard to enjoy the cruise. We basically only had a couple of hours after dinner. Our tour guide did everything he could to accommodate our need but was not flexible at all so after a while that became annoying. On top of this we were asked to leave reviews while we were still on board (not anonymously) and he complained to us about our “complaints”, which was really really annoying and unprofessional.

Quang, our guide, was really nice and good professional. The boat is a bit further than others, but they bring you in a place with almost no tourists, you'll you magical pics and moments on that boat. Food is good quality. I recommend this boat, with an old nice more typical design

Book 2 days maybe for the best experience, as we felt a bit non stop in a hurry for next activity. Breakfast not for people who like sweet, and coffee not And no dessert for lunch, only dragon, watermelon and ananas fruits, sometime mango. Anyway quality of served food is good. American Express not accepted.

We bit the bullet and did the two night, three day cruise, after research suggesting to get out of HaLong Bay, to a more 'off the beaten track' area of Lan Ha Bay. So glad we did! HaLong Bay was over saturated – Lan Ha Bay has less boats and is just as gorgeous. The highlight of our trip was our guide Hieu, who was wonderful. Kind. Funny. Engaging. Knowledgeable. He took great care of us. The cruise was fun, the right mix of time on the boat and activities. Day 1 we kayaked (loved it – but we were troubled by all the trash in the water – our whole group was – such a shame). Day 2 was the trek, which I opted not to do due to a knee injury. Instead, we spent time at the infinity rooftop pool at Paradise Hotel on Cat Ba Island – and got dropped off and picked up (paid a small fee to the hotel). The last day’s activity was biking – loved that. The activities are all optional, but this is a trip more geared to those who like to be active. Room wise – We got the top floor exec suite with balcony (behind the bar). Loads of room, comfy bed. Bathroom. Great AC. All the staff that we encountered were lovely and professional. Definitely recommend!

The food on board is simple but a little repetitive. That said, it is plentiful. The beach we visited was really noisy and busy with hundreds of people - too busy for us to want to even swim (NZers aren't used to crowded beaches). This isn't the fault of our guide at all, just an observation and something to note in case people think this will be all about tranquility. Note, to be honest, after seeing all the water pollution (plastic and polystyrene in the water), we were completely put off eating the local seafood... It wasn't clear on Booking.com which of 3 day 2 n cruise itineraries we were doing (Unicharm have x2 of them). We didn't find out until we arrived on the cruise. I recommend Vega review their tour/product listings to make this clearer. A note on the destination (not the tour operator’s fault): Tourism in this area feels oversaturated. Our group found ourselves discussing the visible pollution and environmental degradation, as well as brainstorming potential solutions. It’s a tricky situation with no quick fix. While the scenery is undeniably beautiful, I feel conflicted about recommending more visitors until sustainable practices are more firmly in place.

We loved this cruise with its well organised activities, kayaking, bike riding, visiting a fishing village and a hike through the Cat Ba National Park returning to our beautiful cruise boat later in the day to relax. The rooms were spacious and clean with excellent air conditioning, comfortable beds and the floor to ceiling windows framed the tranquil scenery. We anchored in Lan Ha Bay at night and there were no other cruise boats, it was beautiful and peaceful. Hieu our guide spoke perfect English and was friendly, well organised, informative and brought a sense of fun to the group activities and also once we were back on board. The food was abundant with lots of variety and very tasty. This was definitely one of the highlights of our Vietnam trip, we had a fabulous time and so many lovely memories, highly recommend.

We had an amazing 3-day cruise. Our family room was spacious, clean, and offered a stunning panoramic view of the sea. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. The activities were excellent—we especially loved kayaking, hiking on the island, and our bike tour. The food was tasty and varied, with options that pleased everyone in our family. What truly made this cruise stand out was the location. Unlike most other cruises, this boat sails through the quieter Lan Ha Bay. By late afternoon, we found ourselves completely alone in the middle of the bay, surrounded by peaceful waters and breathtaking 360-degree views. It was serene and magical. A very special thanks to our guide, Louis, who was outstanding throughout the trip. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Louis was truly the perfect guide for us. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quieter, more authentic cruise experience away from the crowds.

Fantastic experience (Binh is just awesome) the whole cruise. Activities were entertaining and perfectly organized, whole crew was taking care of details, and food was delicious. I'd repeat any time. Thank you for a perfect memory in our trip

The whole itinerary was well organized, including the hotel pickup from Hanoi city and back. The combination of activities was just right and much enjoyable, especially they happened before, or away from, the crowds. Meals, facilities and the room were all excellent. Our tour guide Quang and other staff on the ship were professional and very attentive. We felt safe and well taken care off throughout the journey. It's a wonderful experience overall!

Communication was excellent. Easy pick up from hotel. Staff amazing. Loved rooms & fact UniCharm was away from busy parts of Halong Bay. Food great & activities perfect for experiencing various parts of Bay. Kayaking, bike riding, cooking lesson, squid fishing were all fun for our family & yet we still had quiet time between. Small numbers on boat was a bonus too.

Couldn’t fault the crew or cruise

The crew and our guide Quang was exceptionel and the itinerary was eventful, but not too packed or rushed. Loved that we were basically the only ones in LAN Ha Bay that docked for the night, away from the crowds in Ha Long bay. Loved the kajacking and food was really good, although there was some repition from dinner night 1 and 2 (we stayed for 3 days and 2 nights). But ingredients were fresh (a lot of seafood which I personally love). We had a family room which was two connecting rooms, well equipped with gorgeous view

The tour guide was exceptional and we enjoyed all the activities on the cruise. Of particular note was kayaking on the bay, as you could get right up to the Karsts in the bay and got beautiful views of the surrounding terrain.

The cruise was great! Quang our tour guide did a great job leading us around and was very friendly. He was very adaptable when it rained for the bike ride. He taught us a lot about the history of the island. The cruise was great. Rooms were large and clean. The food was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

A tremendous experience from start to finish. Real attention to detail throughout and effort to share a quiter side of Halong Bay which made the cruise very special. Our guide, Binh, was fantastic and really looked after us, making everyone feel welcome. The kayaking and cycling outings were great. We absolutely loved it!

We had amazing time with Unicharm cruise. From pick up to drop off in Hanoi, everything was perfect. The cruise takes you to a less touristy place. We were a little group and was able to kayak in a quiet place. We did cycling in Viet hai village before all the tourist boat arriving. Excellent itinerary!! All the staff were very nice (boat, driver, guide etc). Our guide Hieu make sure that everything went smoothly, we really enjoyed his company. The rooms are nice and have nice view. It has all the amenities needed.

The cruise is incredibly well organized, from the pick up to the end. Our guide Louis was great and and all the crew members were very nice. We really enjoyed the activities: especially kayaking, swimming in the lagoon away from other turists and bicycle ride in Cat Ba. The landscapes are beautiful!

Food Was Okay

I am really upset with the Guide who came the Day we left, he literally came into the room to check us out, check out is mentioned to be 10.30 t0 11.00 am, but this guys was giving announcement from 8.30 that if delayed we will have to go by speed boat, he gave announcement more than 7 times I guess, okay if I am delayed I will go by the speed boat, what does it to do with checking us out by 10 am? that too we had 2 little kids. Also these people dont take you to the caves or so, they just give you kayak and cycling. thats it. but while booking, it shows the prices includes all entrances. this is no any special cruise, there is a lot better ones out there, do go for this!!

Quang Quack was our guide and was extremely helpfull in the 2 days we spent with him. Very knowledgeable and funny, and able to attend to our special requests!

Excellent Tour Guide (Louis) an amazing lanscapes. They take you to an area of the bay where there are hardly any other boats which makes the experience truly amazing!
