How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewRussell and Jessica are absolutely amazing. They were so kind and accommodating. Breakfasts were soo tasty and they couldn't do more to help you out. The villa's deck and hammock is the best place to hangout and the view is insanely good! The beach and snorkelling off the beach is spectacular. Getting around is easy with Russell providing transport. The scenery is so lush and green and Russell and Jessica maintain the property beautifully. The owner (Isvan) provided great communication in the lead up to our visit so we knew what to expect getting there and organised transport from the airport to the accommodation. We feel it was great value for money, especially since we were the only ones there but even if the place was full there is only 4 villas so it would still feel very private. We would love to come back when the budget allows.
We loved everything! Obviously, there are bugs so being tactical about not using the porch light is a good idea. The whole villa is fly-screened but I would still suggest taking repellent and hydrocortisone cream for the sneaky bugs. The ceiling fans do a great job inside though! The bed could be a bit larger and more comfortable but we still slept great!

Verified reviewThe room and are arrangement of accommodation is a little better than I expected from the photos. Nice private villas with the beach all to yourself. Staff were friendly and helpful.
It’s called Aore Breeze for a reason! It’s the windiest point on an otherwise very calm island, which made it feel a lot colder than other parts. The sea was rough and hindered good/safe snorkelling.. but that might have just been the time of year. (September) Breakfast was very basic! This was disappointing since there is nowhere else to eat nearby. Come equipped for an isolated experience! Bathroom needs some better cleaning.

Verified reviewI had great difficulty paying for my accomodation through this website as you wouldn’t accept my visa debit card and I was extremely grateful for the owner of the property to allow me to at him on my return. I will make sure to never book a holiday through you and warn all my friends on a pension to avoid you as well. Banks don’t give people on the aged pension master cards!
Doesn’t matter because I will absolutely avoid booking anything with you ever again and will warn all my pensioner friends to avoid you as well!

not ideal for 4 people, probably a maximum of 3 per cabin is better. (kitchen is only equipped with plates and cutlery for 2/3) the fridge had a very strange smell. small breakfast

If you would like to get away from it all, disconnect and reconnect with nature, this is the spot to book. Russel was super helpful and accommodating, Istvan was very responsive to our messages.

Verified reviewBungalow with very large deck overlooking your own private beach. Immaculately maintained gardens. Very decent reef right there, free kayaks and the area is definitely worth a paddle - very calm and peaceful just past the point. We were diving very early each day and had our breakfast made at 6.30am everyday. Tasty and different every day. Extremely appreciative of the service from Russell and his wife who prepared these super early breakfasts, drove us to the diving shop every day or other places as required. Lastly we had to ask a big favor from Russell as we left behind a speaker that we'd just bought and he brought it back to Santo when convenient.
I wasn't a fan of the bed pillow, only a small detail which definitely didn't ruin my stay

Verified reviewWe stayed on Aore to visit some friends and Aore Breeze was the perfect spot! The apartments are modern and super comfortable and the snorkelling and kayaking right out front was amazing. Russel and his partner cooked us yummy breakfasts and if we needed a lift to other parts of the island Russel took us on the motorbike whenever we needed. Cellphone reception is a bit hit or miss so you need to pre arrange with him if you want to be picked up. We loved our stay at Aore Breeze and would come back
