We had a truly wonderful stay at Louise’s Birdhouse in Lotopā. From the moment we reached out with questions before our arrival, Louise was gracious, warm, and incredibly helpful. On our first night—despite a few unrelated travel hiccups—she went out of her way to support us, making us feel welcome and cared for. The next morning, we were surprised and delighted to find a beautifully prepared breakfast waiting for us: suafa’i, vaisalo, koko alaisa, koko kopai, and a fresh fruit platter with papaya, banana, oranges, and starfruit. Everything was delicious and so generously provided—it felt like a real taste of Samoan hospitality. When my mother arrived the following afternoon, Louise again arranged for her to receive some local food. We felt truly blessed and spoiled! The BBQ spot at the front of the property was another highlight, offering fresh oka, cooked bananas, sapasui, and a variety of BBQ meats—authentic and delicious! The location is very convenient—right next to Frankies Supermarket, with a Digicel stand outside, and close to a gym, laundromat, cafes, and other shops. Just a note for future guests: while the listing mentions Vaitele, the actual location is Lotopā. There’s also a Frankies in Vaitele, so to avoid confusion, it’s best to contact Louise for directions before you arrive. We would have loved to stay longer, and if we ever return to Samoa, Louise’s Birdhouse will be at the top of our list. Thank you, Louise and family, for your kindness and hospitality. Loved the fact that Louise and her family were open to changes and flexibility as last minute changes on our trip dates. Thank you Louise and family loved our short stay and was very convenient as we had family around the corner in Tulaele, wedding at Manumailagi on the same road and bridal bnb also on the same road further up. But the best was the BBQ we had on arrival and day after, just couldn't get enough of it....definitely the 👌 in 🇼🇸

Bird house all you need 5 min to town BBQ in front best in Samoa and we did try a lot of Bbq none come close loved the house aircon 2 toilets and shower supermarket and laundry walking distance I could go on and on but definitely will be coming back and accommodate 9 of us

I was notify by the owner earlier before we arrived the cottage is ready for us. The place is clean and comfortable during our stay. The BBQ takeaway right infront of the cottage so you don't need to go out for lunch and dinner very tasty and beautiful menu. Our staying in Samoa Home was awesome. This property was perfect for our family of 7. We weren’t looking for anything flash or fancy as we weren’t going to be spending a lot of time at the home - so this was perfect for us! Great amenities, close to town & A/C in every bedroom was amazing because some nights were incredibly hot! absolutely loved the bbq restaurant out front. Their poké and oka (raw fish) was amazing! The family are lovely, kind people. They even helped us out when our rental vehicle died out on us! Fa’afetai tele lava Louise & family for a perfect stay.

Thank you Louise for kickstarting our Samoa trip on the right track. Our family of nine stayed at Vaitele 3 bedroom home for 4 nights and we definitely enjoyed our stay. The location was close to everything we needed access to, Apia markets, Vaitele Aquatic centre, supermarkets, gas station, laundry facilities, restaurants plus more, the bonus was BBQ site right in front of property (food pic attached) All three bedrooms were clean with fresh towels, aircon and ceiling fan and comfy beds. We didn't need to use bed sheets it was a bed cover. There were 2 bathrooms, kitchenette with basic essentials and dining out on the balcony.

I booked this home for my parents and siblings to stay in whilst in Samoa & they wanted to extend their stay because of how convenient the facilities were in the house, very clean and everything is provided that you could possibly need for big families. House is well screen wired, very clean and spacious and would definitely book again! Friendly staff & location is also a bonus :)

The music from the gym & BBQ store plays loud from 6am to midnight. Although the owners do not have control of that.

We were a group of 10 & great for our family. Easy access for my 85yr old mother who enjoyed the cottage. They provided 2 large cold water dispensers for us, air conditioning was on when we arrived, flexible check in/out times, lots of things that made our stay really comfortable. Basic kitchen facilities to make meals if we wanted to. Great location with supermarket, laundromat, gym & BBQ eatery next door. Super friendly staff.
