Very unique place! Great and very detailed and tasty Breakfast (the spinach Joghurt is amazing). Especially the people working there are special and very very nice and helpful!

Our room was beautiful but rather dark, even though there was full sunshine outside. I understand that this is due to the nature of the style of property, but it would have been nice to have the opportunity to completely draw the curtains at the entrance to the balcony rather than them being joined at the top. This really impacted on the light in the bedroom.

We only stayed for one night, and had an enjoyable stay. We had a very efficient and friendly check-in, and the property was full of character. We booked the Queen Room with Balcony, with was very spacious and well-equipped. Having access to the swimming pool was a nice touch, and we enjoyed quick dip in the evening. We ate out at Mitchell's bar (just over the road from the Guest House). The food was good and we met some friendly locals which was fun! Our breakfast before leaving was delicious, and the service from the Airlies staff was excellent from start to finish.

The old house was creaky and we needed a torch to navigate some dark spots (stairs to back door). Our ensuite bathroom did not have a door or even a curtain so the toilet was in full view of the bedroom. The building has charm and potential but needs some investment to revive it. Check-in was at the Monte Vista guest house around the corner which was initially confusing.

The house dates from early 20th century and the ground floor public rooms are stocked with colonial style bits and pieces. There is a convenient swimming pool at the back with a communal fridge. A very decent breakfast was served at the adjoining Monte Vista guest house.

Too much locking- three gates to get to the room, but I guess this is for security.

The accommodation, breakfast, and staff were excellent and we shall return!

This is a beautiful guest house! They have this historical house with rooms and as more modern section. Next time I’ll stay in the modern section.

just one little point: next time we would probably book another room not next to the wooden stairways as that was bit noisy when people passed by we liked everything else!

Really noisy. We can hear everything between the rooms. Until 2 AM, there was a lot of noise also in the street. there is a bar just in front of the hotel. We left one day earlier because it was really not pleasant and we had all slept badly. We rented 3 rooms for 2 nights so we paid for nothing the second night and they did not offer the drinks taken the day before in the hotel. not very smart . I don't recommand this hotel.

that there’s no bar fridge. however it turned out that there’s a communal fridge on the passage but we only were told when we asked on check out

well maintained premises, beautiful inside and clean linen. breakfast is five stars the host is courteous and flexible (we arrived after the reception had closed - but within our asked check-in time)
